Cid
A rather grouchy and foul-mouthed, but nonetheless warm-hearted character, Cid is a pilot who dreams of travelling into space. He lives with Shera (Sierra), an assistant who forced Cid to abort his past chance at launching his rocket into space, saving Cid's life by checking oxygen tanks she correctly feared were faulty during the lift-off sequence. Cid designed the airship Highwind and also owns the Tiny Bronco, a small plane which Cloud and the others use as a boat in the game after it is downed by Shin-Ra. Cid wields spears and lances in battle.
