Description

The great thing about Black Mage is that you get it basically at the begining of the game and for the majority of the first parts of the game, its the most useful Dressphere to have! Black Mage can learn abilities to deal will all enemies like Firaga, Blizzaga and Thundaga and you can even cast against all enemies on the screen. The only down part to the Black Mage is that it has very weak defence.

How to Acquire

Defeat Boris at the peak of Mount Gagazet in the 2nd mission (Chapter 1).

Ability	Description
Fire	Deal weak fire damage to one or all enemies.
Blizzard	Deal weak ice damage to one or all enemies.
Thunder	Deal weak lightning damage to one or all enemies.
Water	Deal weak water damage to one or all enemies.
Fira	Deal moderate fire damage to one or all enemies.
Bizzara	Deal moderate ice damage to one or all enemies.
Thundara	Deal moderate lightning damage to one or all enemies.
Watera	Deal moderate water damage to one or all enemies.
Firaga	Deal Severe fire damage to one or all enemies.
Blizzaga	Deal Severe ice damage to one or all enemies.
Thundaga	Deal Severe lightning damage to one or all enemies.
Waterga	Deal Severe water damage to one or all enemies.
Focus	Raise user's magic.
MP Absorb	Absorb MP from one enemy.
Black Magic Lv.2	Cuts the time required for Black Magic by 30%.
Black Magic Lv.3	Cuts the time required for Black Magic by Half.
