It's brilliant to see more and more people coming around to the
true classics (not to say X was bad...it's an absolute gem). But Neji is completely right; graphics don't mean crap (in todays standards) if your playing the PS1 FF series. I highly recommend IX, as it is my favorite one, as is the only one I bought on the release date (feb 10th 2001: 5 hours in a freaking cue outside Electronics Boutique at midnight in year 6...), but that aside, If you think X lasted ages, get ready to carbon-date your PS2 by the end of VII, VIII, and IX; each with 4 discs, with the exception of VII, which has 3.
BTW: Squall, VIII has one of the best storylines, but I just don't like the combat
that much, though the characters are really cool/funny/both, and I (for one) loved when your party followed you, as the party didn't disappear up your arse when you select them.
