Also, people who make statements like "humans are stupid" implying that they are somehow detatched from humanity and are making an observation on something below them. I have no problem with misanthropy, but I do have a problem with misanthropes who like to forget that they are a part of the human race as well. I instantly lose respect for anyone who speaks about what they hate in people and societies as if they are aliens, believing that they are being incredibly profound by speaking in that manner.

Tell me about it. I listen to this on a regular basis at school. My school is full of people who b**** and complain about how horrible the human race is and how dumb everyone else in the world is, and how if the world just did things the way
they thought they should be done, we'd all be living better lives. Go get over yourselves. I'll agree with you that the human race can be pretty stupid, but as a member of the human race, I can be pretty stupic too. And so can you. And even though you may not like something, you may want to concider the fact that someone who knows way more than you do on the subject probably weighed the pros and cons of each scenario and came up with the one currently in use.
The world is not a perfect place. Accept it.
