Lagatsu, Valkyrie Profile came out in 1988 I believe. It's a pretty old game and it's very rare.
I'm going to go with the game I liked the most and I thought they put the most work into, which would be Final Fantasy X. Excellent visuals, even today, the story is good, and it takes me more then 25 hours to beat. I think Final Fantasy 13 will change that.
