OK...? anyways here is a link that i found that can deffinitly help u in this side quest ok...
http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/fi...ntasy_xii_j.txt ...when u go to the link, USE "Ctrl F", and then type "0275" this will take u straight to the stuff that helps u with the medallion side quest! yay

Ok the link i gave u doesnt work sooo.. go to
www.gamefaqs.com ..now click on final fantasy XII on the main page under top 10 faq pages, now click on "faqs and guides" this will take u to the walkthroughs.. Click on the 7th one down the page, the one written by SOng kk. Now click "ctrl F" and type 0275 and press enter. this will take u to the medallion side quest info page kk
