I'm with you there. I've turned down a couple people asking me to go out with them, including the person I went to Prom with this last month, because I can't see myself in a short term relationship. I don't see the point in them, I'd rather stay their friend.
As for online relationships, I'm not really for them. You can grow to like or even love someone online, but you're never quite sure who they really are since it's so easy to fake yourself online. I try not to make too many friends online either, just the people I can completely trust.
