The politically correct term for this thread is "long distance relationships", not necesarilly online...
I've been in one for almost a year now and we've had out ups and downs just like any normal couple belive it or not. It's working out better than any other relationship I've had in the past and I think the reason for that is because when you meet someone online (in normal situations) you start getting to know them and then you see the picture or webcam or whatever.
That doesn't happen in real life so in that aspect I say I'm all for it, but it really depends on the individuals so you can't really stereotype these things.
