Guess Im on the short end here by voted Edea. But this is one of the few games where I have some difficulty deciding on my favorite character. I really enjoyed the main character, Squall. His personality is very suiting, Zell was funny, Laguna is very cool and I loved how his leg cramped up. Seifer was pretty cool for awhile but he just got annoying after I beat him a number of times.
But with that aside my favorite was Edea. I didnt like her quite as much when you could actually use her as a character but more of a bad guy in the very beginning. She was so evil and powerful to control Rinoa, it seemed she never really had to try either, and she still almost killed Squall. Edea's theme music was great too, the organ (I think) was great. It resembled Sephiroth's a bit but it just seemed to fit the Sorceress quality so well. It fit well together so she automatically became my favorite during that time.
