I heard that newcastle had no money to bring players in this tranfer window and Sourness would have to find some of the funding himself.

Yeah, I've just seen him making his usual excuses in an interview on Sky Sports News, but I think you're right, from what he was saying it looks like he will be there until the end of the season at least.

Poor Newcastle Then.
Well i tried to check out the newcastle home site to see what was happening, but i aint damn registering to see the latest news.
Well it looks like he won't resign, he will have to be thrown out.
In reading what he said about bringing in big signings, they haven't performed at all and what he needs is a class defense who an cope with the epl.

Souness has to get sacked soon. Although I do quite enjoy seeing him look on the verge of tears.
Everyone knows that Newcastle has an awful defence and they did when he was appointed the manager. When will they learn?

Newcastle have been unlucky with injures...yes, but for a club of their reputation they shouldn't really complain. Arsenal have had it much worse injury-wise, and they are still in a "respectable" position. Arsene Wenger doesn't moan about it every 5 seconds either (he usually moans about other stuff instead :P).
Anyway, enough of the Newcastle talk. Anyone would think this was the Newcastle Discussion Thread. xD

Well Middlesborough certainly disgraced themselves today, not even being able to beat Nuneaton Borough!

Middlesbro should be ashamed of themselves. McLaren is the most overrated manager in the Premiership.

That has always been the case, even during Keegan's days. For all the years I've supported Newcastle, I can't ever remember a time when we had a good defence.
EDIT: Let's move the discussion away from Newcastle for a few seconds.
With the season just gone over the halfway mark, I'm going to make a few predictions for what's going to happen from now to the end of the season.
Champions League 2nd Round (Winners in bold):
Chelsea v Barcelona
Arsenal v Real Madrid (I reckon Arsenal can win this tie)
Bayern v Milan
PSV v Lyon
Rangers v Villareal
Werder Bremen v Juventus
Ajax v Inter
Benfica v Liverpool
Overall Winners: Barcelona
UEFA Cup:
Stuttgart v Middlesbro
Overall Winners: Hamburg
Premiership Top 6 Positions:
1. Chelsea
2. Liverpool
3. Man. Utd.
4. Arsenal
5. Bolton
6. Spurs
Carling Cup Winners: Man. Utd.
FA Cup Winners: Newcastle
World Cup Group Qualifiers: (Group winners in bold)
Group A - Germany and Poland
Group B - England and Sweden
Group C - Argentina and Holland
Group D - Mexico and Portugal
Group E - Czech Republic and USA
Group F - Brazil and Japan
Group G - France and South Korea
Group H - Ukraine and Spain
Overall Winners: England
So there you have it. Those are my predictions for what's going to happen in the major competitions in the coming months. (Feel free to do your own predictions)

Well i aint going as in depth as you jewell but i will do a few predictions.
Premiership Top 6
1.Chelsea
2.Manchester United
3.Liverpool
4.Arsenal
5.Tottenham
6.Bolton
My reasoning is that i don't think Liverpool can beat Manchester United, so therefore the red devils will finish above them.
Champion League Winner
Ac Milan Or Barcelona
I just hope they make it though their matches as they both deserve to win it.

You actually think Middlesbrough can beat stuttgart....i know i dream of Middlesbrough being good but beating a Big german club thats nion impossible!
Well we all got to have dreams and views :P and my View is if we can hold them to a draw in Germany then we can take our home advantage and attempt emphasis on the word ATTEMPT! to take them on at home maybe a 1-0 win?
and the premiership is looking rather wierd,I dont know if bolton can hold out the 6th spot but they look a convincing side, Also i disagree with the second place thing Manchester United are not the right team with the losses and David Beckham and roy Keane there crap...really i think Liverpool will be second
Also i have the feeling England may take the world cup there mix of young and David Beckham proves quite good but we should'nt think just because we beat argentina does not mean we can beat anyone we must keep a close eye on :
Italy
France
Germany
Brasil
Holland
Australia
The reason i picked the "aussies" is the fact they pull off some great stunts *cough*3-1*cough* and they have some talent Viduka,Kewell and Schwarzer Strangely 2 of them are from middlesbrough :P

^ You seem to have a sinister obsession with Australia.
Schwarzer won't be there much longer, he's finally decided he wants to move to a big club. (He'll probably end up somewhere like Portsmouth or West Brom).
Did anyone see the Carling Cup semi-final last night?
Arsenal disgraced themselves once again (no surprise there).
I'm really worried about Arsenal's future, eventhough, Henry has said he will sign a new contract. Mainly because their transfer activities has left alot to be desired. This is something that has always amazed me about Arsenal, they are one of the biggest clubs in Britain yet they always act like tramps in the transfer market. Which is not helped by the fact that Wenger is such a tightfisted old fool.

Aus can make it through the group stages, just have to play some good football.
Arsenal really dazzle me, don't they have a huge trasnfer kitty now and they are doing nothing of replacing thier defensive midfielder (Viera).
And that carling cup game was really boring i read and heard about.
EDIT~ Damn Gamst pederson really has a scoring bond with Manchester United, he really is a talent and will leave Blackburn soon if they start slipping down the ladder.
Most youngsters go for the money anyway.
