Rebrov... well.
He played for Kiev at the same time as Sheva and was considered the better of the two. Spurs paid £11m for him, and he was the biggest flop known to man. He was so bad, they had to pay to send him out of loan to Fenebache for 2 seasons. Fenebache then decided he was a pile of crap so tried to give him back to Spurs, but they refused. West Ham ended up cutting a deal with Spurs and Fenebache to get him on loan, and I don't think they even played him.
He's now back at Kiev.

Spurs are just prone to flops. Literally every player they buy ends up leaving a season or two later.

Chelsea are the new young galaticos now. They got Ballack and Kalou and now even Shev.

Slightly off-topic here, but I wanted to put this suggestion forward to the Football Thread poseé.
I play an online Football Management sim called Managerzone. Basically, it uses fake players and fake teams, but it's pretty in depth for an online sim.
http://www.managerzone.com
I thought it would be quite fun to get quite a few of you involved with it. You can spend as much or as little time on it as you want and if you get good enough, you can even win real prizes. :)
Let me know what you guys think.
Edit: If you're thinking about signing up or have done, please let me know. :)

Ahh, it seems like you're the manager of the well known Petersfield.
If quite a few of you guys sign-up, it might be better to make a new thread in the Gaming Forum.

Lol, that's why I was thinking it might be best to create another thread, otherwise this one will be spammed up with fake football stuff. :)

I think Squire intended we make 1 topic in "General Gaming" as it's a game. In the topic we'd porbaly discuss problems and new members. ^_^

Now look we've spammed up this topic. :P
Let's discuss football, apparently Wayne Rooney's scan date has been brought in hope. He'll make the group b match against Sweden.

So you see the scan being brought forward as sign to be optimistic? Personally I just think it's Sven trying to cover his back if Rooney isn't fit.
@Squire - I have signed up to managerzone.com. It took me forever to find a username that wasn't already taken, but eventually I found one - Jewell1985.

And Now Owen has had an injury scare.
All we need now is lampard or terry to injure themselves to official spoil the chances of any hope of winning.

Managerzone Thread = http://www.square-enix-forums.com/in...howtopic=14047
Owen is apparently going to still play against Hungary, and Sven has said he is going to treat it like an official game, so little substitutions. Is anyone going to be watching it?

I will be Squire. I'm optimistic about Rooney, I think he could make it back for Sweden.
If he's treating it as a offical game..Does that mean no Owen Hargreaves .
I don't think Owens injury scare is anything but a media trick to draw the attention away from Rooney.
BTW, Gemini i thought you're from Aus, Shouldn't you be supporting Aus instead of England. :P

You laugh about Hargreaves, but would you rather him play as a DMC or Jamie Carragher?

To tell you the truth, Jamie Carragher. I can't stand Hargreaves, I must admit he does have good games for Bayern, but for England he completely underperforms..and Sven doesn't help. He just plays him anywhere. I'm not sure of Hargreaves natural position.
