You do need items for the bottom two abilities on each of the special dress spheres. Don't ask me where to get them though!
To beat Trema, try using Dark Knights instead of Berserkers. They're slow, which could be a problem, but they have a lot more magic defense. Also, try knocking down Trema's MP before you use Trigger happy, that way he can't cast any of his magic.

uhh hello... im new in this forum.. from what i've seen this is a good place! anyways... i need help in via infinito in x-2. I cannot beat trema even in level 99!! can anyone tell ways to beat him?
[/b]

srry to double post... but i'm just putting this jus in case some other people want to know... i finally beat trema.... i used lady luck, dark knight, and alchemist.... gave lady luck the catnip and use 4 dice, used alchemist to mix holy water and dark matter to create hero drink which makes you invincible for a couple of turns... and used dark knight basically for its high hp and good defence

You have to bribe Paragon to get the dark matters, though. That's the only way I know to get them, other than defeating Trema. You might want to oversoul him before you try to bribe him, too, because the oversoul animation gives you enough time to put your command in to your Lady Luck. Plus he misses on his physical attacks almost every time in oversoul form, so even if he gets a turn in, it probably won't do anything.

You can use the item soul spring to take out all of Trema's mp (if you use a mastered alchemist). Then you won't have to worry about Ultima or any of his other annoying magic attacks. He'll use Meteor when he gets down to about half of his HP, and then again when he's down to 1/4 of his HP (I might be a little off on those fractions). If you're keeping an eye on how much damage you do, you can switch your girls to Warrior right before he casts Meteor and use sentinel to take only 1HP of damage per hit. He also likes to chain his three normal attacks together, and each of them leaves a nasty status ailment, so slap on a ribbon to protect yourself.

This problem is a bit..stupid, seeing as I'm only about 45 min. into the game. But that one monster...thing, I can't kill it. I do fine when it's just Tidus by himself, then when Rikku comes in, Tidus ends up dying quickly, and Rikku dies about 20 seconds after. And I can't seem to heal or get to the grenades in time. =(

I never had any problems with that... probably not much of a comfort for you. :P
Use Tidus' Cheer ability (I think he starts with that?) which increases attack and defense. Then just keep attacking. When Rikku shows up, use her to throw all the Grenades you've got. When she runs out, steal some more.
Use Rikku for healing, not Tidus, because he has a stronger attack. Whatever you do, don't let one of them die!

Yeah, thanks. I think that's my problem. I don't heal until they're almost dead. I'll try again tonight.

The one you fight after she's summoned by Seymour or the dark aeon?

I'd summon Shiva. Aeons are immune to Anima's instant kill move. Basically have Shiva attack or guard until her overdrive bar fills up and then use Diamond Dust. If you've been leveling Yuna up, it should do pretty good damage. It took me two Diamond Dusts and some random physical attacks to kill Anima. Have Shiva cast Blizzard on herself to heal if she takes too much damage. That's about it.

Ok I had a few quick questions for FF X:
1.) In the Calm Lands there are a few stones that when you examine them they give you instructions like move five step one direction and seven another. My question concerns what you get for following the directions. What is it? Where is it? Do I do this on foot or on a chocobo? I haven't found anything in any walkthrough I can remember so help would be much appreciated. I just hope it isn't one of those things only in the international versions.
2.) This one is a curiosity thing. There are two key items I am missing and I was just wondering what they were and where to get them. I'm missing the very first one in the left column and the fourth one in the right column. I have a feeling they are items you are forced to use or something like that but I'd like to know for sure.
3.) I missed getting Kimahri's last overdrive when I fought Ultima Weapon and was wondering if there is anyway to still get it. Like from one of the monster trainer's creatures or something like that.
4.) Lastly I just noticed this when I was looking at my key items but has anyone else noticed how the Al Bhed Primer #26 has the Roman numeral for 16? This really wasn't a help question but whatever.
Thanks in advance for everyone who read, tries to help, and does help! Hopefully the fact that no one has posted in this thread for like four months won't hinder my search for help. :P
EDIT:
Ha Ha! Just thought of another question:
5.) Does anyone know a good way of getting luck/fortune spheres apart from getting them from chests (found them all already) or from the monster trainer's creatures? Thanks again!

The fact that nobody has posted in here for four months usually means you'd be better off starting a new thread, but since this is a sticky it's okay.
I don't know the answers to any of your questions, though, because I haven't played FFX in a really long time. Sorry. The key items might be from events that you missed. I'm not sure though. @_@
edit: rofl, I didn't even look to see if this was a sticky before posting earlier. Sorry.

...Like I said.
Don't ask such vague questions. Ask something more specific that people can actually answer.
The beginning of the game is pretty straightforward. There's nothing special that you really need to do. But again, if you want general tips, read a FFX walkthrough.

Hey there! I think I can help you with some of those questions...

Well, the only thing I've found by examine these spots is a name, GODHAND. I don't know whether you've seen this, but it's a password for the airship, Rikku's Ultimate Weapon or sumthin'. I don't know if they serves as other than that. I'd like to know myself :)

I really don't know about that one, I haven't got so many key items myself, even though I playing on my 114th hour. So can't help you there, sorry mate.

Nope, if you missed getting Nova, that's just tough luck.
I hope I was somewhat helpful :)

No problem!
@ Luca:
Thanks a bunch! Yes Godhand is the password you use to get Rikku's ultimate weapon with the airship, I guess I never followed the stones far enough to find it.
I figured that was the case with Kimahri's last overdrive but I just wanted to check. *cries a little inside*
I actually started to play through FF X a few days ago (I had the sudden urdge to at 4 a.m. on Monday) and I just finished the first Blitz match in Luca. Thia time I'm just doing the main story, no hidden aeons, ultimate weapons, Omega Ruins, or monster catching for me! I have a 167 hour save file for that anyways. :P
