If i had my guide at hand i could verify that, but im sure that that miniside quest does count for a tiny bit of the percentage, cos i think you need it for episode complete or something like that

just out of interest is it physically possible to defeat any of the dark aeons in ffX? i managed to do about 80000 damage to dark ixion but it still hadnt died - then its 99999 damage every hit attacks caught up with me...

It is possible. Most of the Dark Aeons have around 3-4 million hit points. You're characters would need to have very strong stats. Also having your characters equiped with weapons and armour that have the 'Break HP' and 'Break Damage Limit' abilities would be a HUGE help.

You need to attempt to calibrate all of them, and succeed in calibrating at least 5 in order to get a garment grid from the Al Bhed in the travel agency. But you don't need to do any more than that.

Yeah.. Like jewell said, those abilities would come in very useful..
I'd recommend the ultimate weapons though, since they already have good abilities on them, they also do extra dame because they ignore defence (?) or something like that..
Just build up your stats in the monster arena to about 200 each..

Auto-Pheonix is very handy- stock up to 99 Pheonix Downs at the start of the battle, with Auto-Pheonix on two or three of your characters.

Obviously, it only works on the ones that only attack one of you at a time (Stage 1 of Dark Ixion, for example), and you can still loose if you die 102 times, but you can win on much lower stat levels.

I forget their names.. XD
1st - Beside the first save point
2nd - Sanubia desert - East
3rd - Sanubia Desert - Weat
4th - Sanubia Desert - Central
5th - Sanubia Desert - East, near the save point
6th - Sanubia Desert - Central, trapped in a treasure chest in the western part of this area
7th - Sanubia Desert - West, in one of the whirlpool thingys, but you have to get out of that area and reenter
8th - Go back to the airship after visiting the oasis save point, then it's on the airship deck
9th - At that "picture"

It takes ages..
After you find all of them, you'll be able to go into that cactus city where Marnela was in FFX2, the sigil is there..

Well, I used Tidus, Auron, and Yuna, and raised their strength stats to max. I had accessories with Auto-Haste, Auto-Potion, and Auto-Phoenix. Anyways, I just had all three of them use quick hit over and over again, and when Nemesis got a turn I had Yuna summon an aeon to take the hit. There's probably an easier and quicker way though.

I used that way too..
There's an attack you should watch out for..
That's Armageddon, which does 99,999 damage to all party members regardless of defence.. :P

^lol, forgot about Zanmato, but I hardly ever used Yojimbo anyway *shrugs*

And you should be able to beat Nemesis before he uses Armageddon. All his other attacks can be blocked by aeons.

Nemesis will kill your aeons right after you use them anyway, so you might as well make them useful and take his attacks for you.

Just keep on blowing up walls..
You find destructible walls by putting Yuna in front of a wall, and if her skirt is blowing, it means that that wall ios destructible.. :P
