I liked ffx, most. It's just that I hate Yuna's new dress.
Umm...I gotta say it's a little revealing...

FFX-2 is not THAT bad... I like both games, but I wish FFX-2 was more challenging... I don't have any other complaint about it...

Playing FFX-2 was the biggest waste of my time, ever.
FFX however was a great game and I enjoyed every minute. I don't even understand why they bothered to make FFX-2 -_-

What do you mean "for younger people"? I personally enjoy that game a lot, even though I'm an adult, and my mother simply LOVES that game, it's her all-time favorite...

It would have been better if they brought back Seymour as a boss and stuff. At least they could have done in FFX-2 was to leave the Blitz ball game the way it was in FFX.

Almost everyone is gonna disagree with me, but I like FFX-2 better. After playing it so much, I hate the gameplay of FFX. I hated the Sphere Grid. T_T
Storywise, it's a tie.

OK. Time for me to bring up my biggest beef with X-2.
The music.
I have often seen people quote the music in X-2 as being one of it's finer qualities. I can not see how this is possible. X-2's music is only music in the basest sense of the term. It has nots and rhythms. However, it has none of the things that make true music such a joy to listen to. The music lacks any contrast, in dynamics or tonal color. It has no emotion. No passion. The music does not make me feel anything when I listen to it. It lacks musical complexity or interest. The majority of the soundtrack consists of generic four bar loops that could easily have been swapped out for public domain sourse music for an identical effect, perhaps even a more enjoyable one.
There are exceptions to this of course, but for the most part, X-2's soundtrack was a let down compared to the brilliant scores of the other titles in the series.

I'd have to say FF X, because FF X-2 is just too unoriginal.

I'd have to go with FFX, especially since FFX-2 was mission based. Highly unlike Square-Enix IMO.

FFX, without a doubt.
X-2 was okay in some aspects. I actually thought the dress-sphere thing was pretty cool, and I liked some of the new characters (Gippallllll X3). But it was too short, and it was more mission/fanservice-based than storyline-based.
They'd have been better off making a PREQUEL to FFX, rather than a sequel, to explain the Machina War between ancient Zanarkand and Bevelle in more detail...plus, I liked the side-story with Shuyin and Lenne.

I agree, that would have been so much better.
I'm pretty sure I voted in this ages ago, but if not, I'll throw in my two cents for X. Worlds better than X-2, imo-battle wise, character-wise, etc. The only thing I think X-2 did better is the leveling up-I dislike the sphere grid.

It was just a horrible system, in my opinion. The spheres were all over the place, and most of the really good abilities I wanted for my characters were on the opposite ends of the grid from where their paths were, and closed in by LV4 keyspheres which were a b*tch to find. And you had to fight a lot mor monsters to gain the spheres you needed, even when you had enough AP to move across the grid. I hated it.
X-2 just leveled up like VII, VIII, and IX, and I liked that. Ability learning was much easier as well, with just wearing a certain dressphere for enough battles to earn AP.

Dunno the sphere grid was interesting for :) It seemed complex at the beginning but it was actually easy, u just follow the path and take him wherever u like. Basically u can make all characters equal in every way same abilities , same magic.

Meh, I've said it before, but it's been a while, and many of you weren't here so I'll say it again. X-2 is an unsightly blemish on the face of a brilliant series. It completely ruined everyting that X achieved with the story. The ending of X was perfect. There were no unanswered questions. There was no cliffhanger. The ending was complete in every way. Not everything needs to ba happy, and I personally love the bittersweet ending.
When concidering the story of X, I do not include X-2. It did not happen. The story of X ended with X. X-2 was an attempt by Squeenix to make money by playing to the pop culture wnats of people who only wanted to see girls in skimpy outfits, pop rock music, and complete and utter sillyness. It was a Charlies Angels/Clueless type ripoff that tried too hard to be funny and failed miserably. You want a good example of a lighthearted FF game, play IX. It had loads of comedy and still wasa well developed and very deep and serious story.
The ONLY, and I do mean ONLY, thing that I will complement in X-2 is the battle system, if you ignore the naming conventions that is. The mechanics of it were brilliant. I loved the pace and the job system and the way of learning abilities, being able to choose what you learn and when. It was absolutely awesome. But even then. I cant talk about dresspheres and garment grids without cringing at what I'm saying.
Half the time, I was embarrased to be playing the game in an room all by myself. If the game can do that to me, it does not deserve my praise.

I think both are good. It's hard for me to choose one of them.
