Well when I stopped playing the game, I uninstalled Playonline and the game itself to my knowledge. So I installed Playonline and Final Fantasy XI again. So maybe I need to uninstall and reinstall again.

And I checked my Content ID, it said that both RoZ and CoP were registered. But it's when I go ahead and choose my character then go into the game itself, just before it starts, it has that thing where you accept whatever and then it notifies me that RoZ is not installed and certain area's will not be accessible.

So it says that RoZ is registered, but I also figured that it may not have been installed. But if its registered then wouldn't the installation take care of itself? Of course I may very well be wrong since I'm not good at these sorts of things, so maybe there is somewhere specifically that I need to go to.

But I kind of would like this to get solved obviously, since I know that Yhoator Jungle and Kazham are part of it, which are pretty important places, I'd be heading to the jungle eventually for leveling.

EDIT: I uninstalled Playonline, it seems I installed it the first time too fast, without installing RoZ or CoP. So both of those should be out of the way once I check how the game itself works. Though installing Playonline again, still had the same thing with having to put in a password. Also my mail doesn't work, which was a problem I just didn't point out specifically before. But I just told not to notify me on it so it doesn't matter all that much I guess.

Hello

I created my first FFXI character last month and I recently deleted it and made a new one. My friends in game say my old character name shows as well as my new one in there in game friend list. How can I remove my old character name to stop showing in there in game friend list and only show my new character name? Do I have to cancel the content id I created the old deleted character with?

Well I think that might be their issue and not yours. When you ask someone to join your friend list it's that character, but if you delete it, it will stay. They have both of your characters on their list so if they just delete the old one then you'll still be there, right? If so, a quick delete by your friends of that character should take care of it. But if it's something different then you may have to make sure the ID was cancelled but then if you delete an ID then it's...pretty much gone.

Thanks. I cancelled both IDS so when I buy a new one and make a new character it should be fixed right? If I invite sum1 with that new character to my FL it will only display my new character name in there FL not the old characters? Also do I have to wait till end on the month for these content ids to be fully concelled or is it 3 months?

I come across alot more serious problem. I just uninstalled and reinstalled play online on my 360. Put in my details and now a message comes up saying beta testing over please buy retail version (or words to that effect). But this is the full game I brought from store. Do I have to buy the game again?

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, but it sounds like a simple misunderstanding to me.

When you originally sign-up you have to choose your account name. Lets say you called it "Rayne". Now, when you made your first character, you probably gave that the same name as the account name, since thats what most people do.

So on someone's friendlist you will appear as Rayne (Account Name) - Rayne (Character Name).

However, if you then delete the character, your account is still called Rayne, but your new character probably isn't going to be. So when you log in on your new character, you will be Rayne (Account Name) - "Whatever" (Character Name). It seems to me like your friends just didn't know how to read the friend list properly, because as long as your character has the correct name on your screen, everything is fine.

If that hasn't actually happened, ignore me, but that's what it sounds like to me.

i am thinking about buying this game but am a bit confused, i know there are ps2, xbox360 and PC versions of this game but i live in australia so the ps2 version wont work cause it isnt PAL is it? and i dont want to get a different playstation just so i can play this game and im not going to bother importing it either. also i am not going to buy an xbox360, and i dont know whether this game is on the PC in australia? cause if it is on the PC then i suppose thats the one i would get.

So basically my question is: could someone tell me if this game is on the PC in australia?

The game has been out for a couple years in America, won't even take that long for FFXII to get from here to there, though still quite some time. In any case, it should be in Australia and the most likely system you would find it on would be for the PC. They have a special price of having the game and all three of the other installments for $50, but I got mine for the same price and the two installments, so it depends what you find. If you have a Best Buy or whatever other electronics store like that, then you should find it just fine.

Question Re: Final Fantasy 11 Q And A

Hello everyone!

I have recently bought a complete and sealed US NTSC copy of Final Fantasy XI for PS2, complete with HDD and network adaptor from ebay. Now, my predicament is as follows: I have a slimline US NTSC PS2 (please keep reading, I know I can't connect a HDD to it! LOL) and an old bulky model PAL PS2, with no internal modifications, but with the slide tool feature (ie, front panel taken off) to allow it to boot foreign games (I never use pirated copies, but seeing as I'd already bought a US console for US games, didn't want to have to buy a JPN console for Japanese games, so this seemed a better method). Now, I haven't had the chance to check yet as FFXI only arrived at my door today, but does anyone have any idea if I booted FFXI on my PAL PS2 using the slidetool, (because this obviously wouldn't count as an internal mod as it is undetectable) if I could play FFXI using this console? Or will the DNAS pick up on the fact I'm using a foreign Console? I've searched for some time for an answer and as of yet have been unable to find one. I'm REALLY hoping it would work, else I'd have to buy a THIRD PS2! I wanted the fat model US PS2 when I got my slimline, but when I went to buy one there were none of the fat models left. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!!

Hi Slak!

I have a PAL PS2 slim line. I really want to play FF11 on it. But have many problems too.
That hard disc will only work with the OLD PS2

I have been told there are ways u can get other hard discs to work..but FF11 will only work with the sony hard disc. You might have legal problems with the DNAS when using NTSC game on a PAL console. So i don't recommend that. If you do live in UK then --To my knowledge you options are:

1) purchase a NTSC PS2
2) Buy a PAL X Box 360 and play AN xbox360 VERSION OF THE game (since you already have all the other stuff this wud be way to expensive)
3) PLay on the PC version..the quality is meant to be better..and the downside could be monitor size. (Cheap and simple but u still have ur hard disc and ff11 for ps2)

I also suggest sell one of the PS2s on ebay if ur going for computer version or Xbox 360.

Good luck..Let us know what u did.
