Talking The White Engine

after looking around a bit i noticed that ff xiii is being developed with the white engine

"
Square Enix said that the graphics engine for Final Fantasy XIII - the enigmatically named “White Engine” - was only in it’s first version"

Not really. All we've actually seen of it is the XIII and Versus XIII trailers. There are no games on the market using it, and Square hasn't given out any real details about it's specs.

They have actually changed the name from the white engine to the crystal tools engine, exact tech specs unknown for this engine so far, but its suppose to render real time battle scenes with CGI quality. It also reportedly uses 4 of the 6 synergistic processing elements (SPEs) that are available to games running on the cell processer. Details taken from wikipedia
