Maybe he was just walking past a shop and saw something "SHINY!!!", and so he bought it. Really peoples, this topic was meant for small questions about AC, not stupid ones like that! There is no particular reason (unless it has some significance, but that doesn't change the point) that he has a new weapon other then the fact that the designers wanted to make one! :P
@MRD- I always put you into consideration. :P

Your so sweet.
Cloud does use other swords in FF7 thats just one of his other swords, and why does it really matter anyway. Oh and The buster sword always looked beaten up.

KINGDOM HEARTS 2 SPOILER
Sora's new outfit has relavence to the storyline, so there's nothing stupid about the question, since they come from the same company.

^EM, can you not see the stupidity in that statement? That is why so many people are sick of arguing with you. Just because they did they in KH2 DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING, don't try and argue with dumb points like that! Also, I already said that it might have relevance to the story, and pointe dout it doesn't make a difference, because how the hell are we meant to know why he has a new sword? MRD also pointed out that he had other swords in FF7.

I got the point that MDR made. I was talking about you saying it was a stupid question. I havn't read everything on AC, so maybe someone who has had the answer. Judging by your statement I was wrong. The KH2 comment was because it is from the exact same company, so it would not be a stupid comment.
And why do you take every single thing a person says against what you say as an argument. It could be a friendly debate. I'm not out to piss you off (Although I probably have)

Well to make it slightly more friendly, just because two things are made by the same company doesnt necessarily make it intertwined in a magnificent scheme that makes sense in the very end. There are a lot of SE games. That doesnt mean that Xenogears is somehow connected with Final Fantasy, that would be ludacris in itself. Xenogears may be related to Xenosaga but they are different companies.
Some say other Final Fantasy's are linked or have patterns like with names matching with outfits and personalities or something along those lines. KH2 and FFVII Advent Children are completely different. AC is just about finished, KH2 is still in development, I dont know if they would really have time to do such a thing, not to mention its never been done before, as there isnt really a reason behind it.
Perhaps a coincidence, as KH does have FF characters in it, but I dont think it really goes beyond that personally. Just remember kiddies, if someone comes here with a question, be sure to stick with the topic and answer it first before moving on with your debates/arguments. :)

^ Well the sword question was answered, with an "I don't know." And I'm not saying I expect Cloud to close any keyholes in AC I'm just saying, that it's the same people and they have the same thought pattern. So a new outfit or weapon could have relavence storyline wise, or it could be something they don't even mention.
:) :) :) :)

@EM- SE isn't a little group of people, its an entire company, and they've made A LOT of games. KH2 and AC are made by completely different people. I wasn't the actual question that annoyed me, just it was answered, and you tried to back up how it could be possible, and no one cares how it COULD be possible. Thats why I got annoyed at you, cause you always do that. And now your trying to back up that KH statement, which is even dumber and more annoying, but whatever.

I guess he wanted his own weapon. But you're right the Buster Sword was beat up.

That was me defending my post?

You said that the Buster sword looked beat up i just simply said that the sword always looked that way, but the graphics couldn't always show that in the game.
in a way i'm defending you, in another i'm correcting you.

Correcting and defending I'm fine with... sometimes I'm an idiot about it but once I realize I'm wrong I'm okay.

^Whatever then, I've had a serious grudge on you ever since you made up that SE called FF8 a failure just to back up your opinion. -_-

I didn't say it was a failure, I said it didn't bring in as much money as they should need for a movie and that a movie would bomb. I'm not even sure AC won't bomb. I like FF 8, but I thought 7 was better. And I know you think it's the other way around so there's no need to say we disagree.

^You said, very specifically, and I can quote you, that Square announced that FF8 was a failure. Do not deny it. And it didn't lose them money, it gained them heaps. You used facts that were completely false and lied just to try and back up an opinion in an argument. -_-

Okay I thought you were talking about MY opinion. I will admit I did exagerate a little. (Don't make a comment). I was told by a friend that Square announced that it was a failure. You're the one that keeps up with there every word so you can tell me if that's true or not.
My opinion still stands. Square was putting a lot of faith into FF VIII to make them richer than kings and it didn't. I am willing to bet that based on FF IX. Compare it to FF VIII. The characters were smaller, crapier looking, they all stayed in one character. All the advancments they made in FF VIII seemed to decline or disappear in IX.
Plus what happened while they were swimming in cash? Spirits Within bombed.
I left the FF VIII Movie section so this arguement could end. This is an FF VII AC Questions section. I don't really think this should be a topic we make into one of our long four pages of arguments. If we must PM me and I'll argue that way.

^WHAT?! Square never expected FFVIII to make them that rich! It EXCEDED their expectations? Do you know nothing?! Your opinion is based on stupid lies! The characters in FFIX were smaller and crappier looking, and that makes it a failure? So what if they're small?! Who gives a crap?! I wouldn't be the only one outraged by what you just said. Nothing declined and disappearedin FFIX. What the hell are you on about?! You do know nothing don't you?! Spirits Within was the only thing that "bombed", your opinion is obvious that FF8 and FF9 are nothing at all compared to FF7, and didn't work proparly. Well get used to the fact EM that THAT IS YOUR OPINION, that DOES NOT mean they lost money, that DOES NOT mean they 'bombed'. You wonder why I think your an idiot when arguing? For comments like that!

I don't think your the brightest bulb either and I'm really bored with listening to you call me an idiot. Think of something a little more above 3rd grade.
Duh! Of course it's my opinion that VII was the best. You've made it obvious on a number of occasions that it's not the only opinion.
Graphics wise IX wasn't as good. Square didn't have all the great money from VIII. That's why Square doesn't look at FF VIII and say, "Ain't that the best thing be ever did."
Bored now.

@EM, yes FF7 sold more but that dosnt mean that FF8 was a bad game or lost Squaresoft money. You can not put game sales as a large factor when comparing diffrent games. FF7 had a large ammount of advertisment, its the only FF Ive seen adverts for on TV. Plus think of it this way, people who bought and hated FF7 are not going to buy FF8. So FF7s success could have impacted sales negativly as well as positivly for FF8. As for 9, I couldnt get into it but I aggree the graphics used did seem a step back but in someways it was also trying to bring back aspects that were used in early games that would keep early FF fans happy.
For making a film based on any of the FF games 7 is the easy option, due to its reputation its built. It depends upon who you are to which you would prefere. I personaly think both 7&8 would be good but would have to say there is more to the characters personalitys in FF8. This makes FF7 an easy choice to make into a movie as you will be able to recreate the characters without effecting the storie or peoples thoughts on how its done a lot more easily.

Logically I agree with you. Hell logically LW is right and I agree with... parts of what he says.
But to a company you don't hit your quota it is considered to be a low rank. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Sqaure is the company of saints where no one cares about money and just giving entertainment to those who accept it. :P

@EM- Idiot's a perfect idiot for what I'm calling you, I don't want to have to go finid a fancy way of saying it. Would imbosuele do? Thats French for idiot. :P Hawk_Ric's pretty much said everything needed to say. Your previous post replied to none of the important points, but then you said you agree'd with most parts, so I guess thats fine. ^_^ BTW, FF9's graphics were actually better then 8's, but I know what you mean, sometimes it sort of didn't look it.
