I had hero magic to it makes you invicible but i used the end magic to kill hem so im a cheater.

I beat it too but I'm not cheater. What made it tough was that I had to draw 100 Ultima for each of my characters, making them surivive throught the battle was hard.

To have 100 ultimas for each cheracter is the basics,of course you must have 100 ultimas and it,s easy as that to get ultimas even without cheating.You my friend think to small. :lol:

You get the hero magic thing when you refine the giglamesh card, you only get ten though

Nopp that,s not the only card you can refine heroes from there,s also laguna card that you can get in space from ellone ,it will refine in 100 heroes i think.And gilgamesh card will refine into 10 holy wars.

yep but holy wars are better as they make the hole party invinceable and hero only makes one person invincealble.

You dont say :lol: 100heroes will refine into 10 holy-war-trial,and 10 holy-war-trial will refine into 1 holy-war,so basicaly gilgamesh card is 10 times as powerfull as laguna card,hero will make 1 cheracter invicible,holy-war-trial will make whole party invicible but just for a short periode of time,holy war will make whole party invicible for quiet long time.But 100 heroes which is just 1/10 of 10 holy wars can be 50 times as powerfull if used correct.

Omega was a hard beast to defeat and it took me 2 whole hours to beat him! 120 minutes or potion using, GF summoning sword slashing, and spellcasting. That batttle definately kept me on the edge. Obviously Dark Squall was using the basic attacks.

I agree to everyone. The Omega in VIII is the biggest pain in the ass out of all the Omega I have fought. I wouldn't really say it is very tough but recent tough. I wait till i am level 100 before i fight him just to get more fun out of it. I took me around 30 mins to beat him but that was after many times of attemps ( lost count><)

by the way I am the Newbie in tis forum so i wnt to say "Hello" to everyone and plx do correct me when i am wrong or said something wrong. I will do my best to answer other memebers questions.

Omega Weapon has an attack that he DOES use which kills every single member of your party unless you are invincible. The best tactic is to get the Gilgamesh card, turn it into the items, then get the card again (Yes, you can keep getting it once you turn it into items)

I do not think it is possible to kill him without the use if the items.

nah, hes not that hard, i can kill him before he casts medigo flame using only 1 limit break, and 3 moves total selected by me. and the limit is not the end in case u were wondering...If u think what i just said is bullshit, just think about how that could be done, it makes sense and is actually quite obvious (also lev100 when i fight him)

its quite possible to kill him before medigo flame is used, and VERY easy before he gets off terra break. u just have to be prepared. just have high speed and use your baddest attacks.

i dont like the use of heroes/zells limit/ the end/ holy wars/ lionheart(all luck) myself, i stick with whats reliable. and theres a good chance he will get his ass flogged each time u walk up to the poor guy...

Also, for those that think otherwise and use it as an excuse, u do NOT have to be invincible to survive terra break, its actually VERY easy to survive if u know its coming. U CAN:
A: use defend, causing it to do ZERO damage to the people using it OR
B: have most of the people with protect equipped and high health (the better choice, since it doesnt stop u from using your own moves).
these 2 actions put u in good stead for the continuing onslaught.

im gonna be building a new character soon for 1v1 against omega, built for delivering a royal flogging to him...once again, hopefully very little luck involved...

A friend of mine said the exact same thing today after I asked if its possible. He said he did it without the use of heroes and such but he said he had to be faster than sonic.

I believe it is possible now.

ok well, i just killed omega using my lev 8-8-11 party, and i resorted to using a holy war! (yes im so ashamed,but it was all in the name of research) My conclusion is that omega weapon is ALWAYS level 100 regardless of your own level, his attacks seemed to be max strength and he had at least 900000health (i lost count of the meteors sorry)

Also, the holy war seemed to last a substantial amount of time, i was fireing 3 meteors in between his attacks at least, and the holy war took me from before terra break, past his next medigo flame...im not sure if this has something to do with the 90+ level difference or not tho.

Ultimas levels certainly are variable, but i wouldnt think Omegas are now...im pretty sure u wouldnt necersarilly need to use the holy war (i just took the easy way out) but u would be much better off fighting him at lev100. (altho most off u probably already realised this, i think its interesting none the less)

so im gonna put it down to omega and the islands of heaven/hell are lev100.

I just leveled Sephie up to level 100 and then used aura on her right away kept switching the spells until it came to the spell "The End" and used that.

i was just 1v1ing omega and dealt over a million damage to him and then stupid pandemona stuffed it all up for me while i was trying to block his 9th light pillar.

I HATE pandemona, he will never be used again.

i had used 22 triple meteor spells (957000), 1 eden (57000) 1 cactuar (10000), angelo had countered 4 times (about 8000 each) and then stupid pandemona wouldnt block light pillar and i died....i cast the b****** twice as well!

IT TOOK SO LONG TOO!

i think one more meteor would have killed him.. that would have got me to like 1.1mil

oh...angelo also came and dug up a rune armlet!
