Lagatsu, Valkyrie Profile came out in 1988 I believe. It's a pretty old game and it's very rare. I'm going to go with the game I liked the most and I thought they put the most work into, which would be Final Fantasy X. Excellent visuals, even today, the story is good, and it takes me more then 25 hours to beat. I think Final Fantasy 13 will change that.

Ok r we just talkin about sqare-enix ? Or sqaresoft too cause in that situation: I think I'd say Xenosaga is at the top of my list :) Cool fighting system, graphics satisfying, and the fact that is't an anime wins big points with me. Story so well thought out , with an exelent intro, plot and ending , has u blindfolded till the end. One of the best main charaters ever |

That was Xenogears dude, you always mix them up, do i have to bonk your head everytime you do that mistake? :PPP The game was awesome, but i like FF7 a tad more :)

^ haha i dont think its tht bad a game reli...tho ive played better haha....4 me its close between either FF7 as its prolly the best in most ways....or FFX.....i reli enjoyed both, tho FF7 lasted longer 4 me & i could keep at it longer as it was tht addictive, but FFX was in many ways just as good.... soo i cant reli say 1 or the other so both haha: FFX FF7

FFVI, followed closely by Chrono Trigger, followed closely by Dragon Quest V. The 16-bit era was the best. Though I expect my opinion may change when I play Xenogears and stop sucking at FF Tactics.

I'd have to go with Final Fantasy X. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VII are up there as well and I have fond memories of Dragon Quest I because it was the first real RPG (unless you count Adventure on the Atari 2600) that I beat back on the NES. It's definately NOT Final Fantasy VIII or Final Fantasy IX though. Those games were horrible. *shudders* That's just me though.
