OMG thats shocking! i don't think my characters are very strong either (top is about 2800 lowest 1600 ish) my Lul is quite strong tho, with the Thundara powers... which magic should i use?

Tell me about it, I was staring point blank at the screen when that happened XD.

I think Evrae's weak against Thunder attacks. I suggest you have a lot of Al Bhed potions stocked to cure petrify and poison. Also when Evrae casts Haste on itself (when it comes down to 8000HP) cast Hastega on yourself.

i have about 18 al bhed potions *gulp* but i've just stocked up on others, so i can use then unless i need to cure all status elements...

Hastega?? Is that for Tidus? Because my Tidus dosn't seem to have it...

Yeah it is, you might have to level up to reach Hastega. There's monsters on the ship so you can level up just before the battle.

Auron, Tidus and maybe Rikku. You could use Lulu for the offensive magic. Depends when you want the ship closer to Evrae or further away (You'll need this to include in your strategy although I can't remember why. Maybe it's trying to control Evrae's attacks?). You'll need Tidus and Rikku for that.

Armour? I guess anything that counters poison and petrify is quite useful.

@Princess_Garnet: Wear armour that have Poison Ward or better, Poisonproof abilities.

I've got 2 questions concerning FFVIII:

1. Where is Esthar? I know where the land is (I'm talking about near the Talle Mountains), but I don't know where the city is. (Disc 3)

2. Where is the specialist in Shumi Village? I'm doing that Laguna's statue assignment to find the stones. (Disc 3)

Just go to the infirmary.. And a scene will begin there..
The Shumi specialist is that fella sitting by the table.. I think..

Key spheres or normal spheres?

Normal spheres are got by fighting enemies. Depending on which enemy you fight you get different spheres though, so if you are always fighting the same enemies, you will have tons of one type of sphere, but none of the others. So either fight in different areas to get the different spheres, or use the abilities "Extract <type of sphere>" to change which sphere you get at the end of the battle.

You can get level 1-3 key spheres from battles I think, but Lv 4 spheres can only be got from certain treasure chests/boss battles if I remember correctly.

There is another way to get a pair of lvl. 4 keys. Its expensive tho so unless you have at least i'm gonna say about 500,000 gil. well here it is. In calm lands when you find a Kihmira Brain(sp?) Bribe it with 196,000 gil. It'll run a way and after that the screen will show up and you'll have your own pair of lvl. 4 key spheres. Once again don't do this unless you have the gil for it. Laterz.

VIII help needed!

I can't find were I am supposed to take Selphie when you are supposed to go and stop the missiles from hitting some garden. I've been running around for days (I know that is pathetic)... :wacko:

^Your in the Missile Base right? I got stuck there for ages and was running around for ages. What is hard to notice is that there is another room behind the stairs. So near the room where the missles are being kept, run behind the stairs an you'll find a new room. From there you shouldn't get stuck again. :)

if your on the world map you take the car to the missile base which is kinda near deling city and follow the right path, (not left and as right i mean when you come out of deling city)

if your in the base you have a keycard and you have to go to a switch thing on the wall, or run around pressing 'X'
