I think you are failing to see the point, he signed up with that name so it should stay. What is someone took Lady Sora or Mimai, you would be annoyed. Otherwise there would be name theft amongst this forums if the moderators started to change everything around just to suit people.

Dear Mimai, (now Sora) ^_^ I appreciate your contribution to the forums therefore I deleted the account with the name sora since it is inactive and given you that name. Your log in name and display name is now Sora. As to anyone else If there is a name that you want which is taken by an in active member, you can ask me (not a super mod) and I will investigate to see if I can free up that name for you. It's a tough call but the person with such a popular name such as "Sora" had 5 posts and was not very active. Someone will 3000+ posts should get priority on a name such as that. If anyone else needs help you can P.M me.

I used to be annoyed when people changed their names because I could never work out who they were. Now I get annoyed because I know that 5 minutes later I'll be expected to change it back to what it was in the first place. :dry:

We really should put a limit on it and not treat changing names as a minor task. For Now until we work it out, only change your name if you are going to stick with it, if you suddenly change your mind within that week, then you will be warned and may have to endure the username for another week. Be something like that anyway.

But is it more of an effort to keep a tally of how many name changes somebody has had than it is to rechange their name?
