I looked up, then down to Ved and patted his shoulder. I drew my blade and jumped up stabbing into the wall, I lifted myself on the hilt of the blade and jumped up pulling my blade from the wall. I grabbed onto the rail that connected to the wall and lifted myself up until my feet landed on the railing. When I looked up, Ved was already standing there inmy way. I shoved him away until I had enough room to jump down on the ground.

"It's time to leave. Now." I said to Eve and Xenek. They didnt question and just followed Ved and I out until we finally found an exit from the stadium.
"So where did yous guys go? We didnt see yous in the last few events." Eve asked as soon as we got out of the stadium.
"We felt a disturbance in the air... Some sort of dark energy. Stronger then Hazard's." Ved answered her.
"Hm... So thats what I felt... I thought it was just Hazard getting angry like it usually was." Xenek said tightening his right glove.
"It was nothing that we couldnt handle so dont worry about it." I said and started walking away from the stadium.
I heard the others follow until Vivi's voice echoed through the wind. "Hey! Where you guys going?! Dont you wanna stay a little longer?" We stayed where we were until he came closer.
"No. We cant stay, we have far more important things to do then stay here and talk to someone worthless like you." The words that came out were not mine, it was Mantus'.
"Well... That's not very nice... Although it's not as harsh as you once were so im happy for that." Vivi started "Will I ever see yous again?"
"Ya' know. Heres what i'll do." Ved started, then he placed his hands together until a dim blue light emitted through the cracks in his fingers, he released his hands and there lay in his hands a cyan crystal that glowed for a moment and then dimmed down when he handed it to Vivi. "Use that whenever you need to find us, lets just call it my calling card."
"Pathetic." I said and turned starting to walk to the exit of the city.

I didnt hear anything else they said, but when I came close to the exit I turned and leaned in the rock pillar awaiting the others. So we could leave this realm.

[Ved]

My powers are growing. I can feel it ever since I was invaded. Another battle in my head wasn't what I needed but it hastened my ability growth. And now I can use this whip like ice thing. And I can generate a piece of ice that is used to find me. Weird but works. And now Hazard seems to have a mind battle of his own. Great, both of us now have mind battles. Though for some reason, I feel his has lasted a lot longer. Since he has more years then me. We said our farewell to Vivi and walked away from him. I looked at Hazard as he just waited for us.

We got within a few feet from him. I nodded and he pushed off the wall and got in the lead. We left the city and Eve began to ask, "Where's the next portal?"
Hazard didn't look back. "Maybe a day away."

We walked for what felt like hours and hours. But probably like only an hour or so. I watched my feet for a while. "Ved, stop."

Looking up and turning to see the others stopped. And Hazard battle ready. I turned my head to look behind me. "Great." Sarcasim all inside word. I looked at Hazard. "They better not be in our way. Cause I refuse to let them step in between what I'm looking for, same with you."

He walked up to me and patted my shoulder. Xenek and Eve came up as well. "It's about time we have a massive battle." Hazard grinned.

I turned and faced our adversaries. A massive colony of bandits. Tents and huts. Fires and the smell of burning food. And about a thousand glaring faces, in our direction. Movement in the back. A freakishly tall one, stocky too, came to the front, grinning massively. He stood above all the others. Even at this distance he looks a lot closer cause of his height. A whistling came from behind and a wall came up from the ground. Burning of fire. It moved towards us. Pushing us in a way.

"Might as well move in." I said. I don't have any weapons at the moment, and I'm not pulling any out yet.

We moved in till we're about 10 yards away from them. I still had to avert my eyes up to look this guy in the eyes. Maybe 10 feet tall. Could be taller. He opened his hands and they bursted into flame. "Makes a bit more sense to why he's so goddamn tall." Hazard said.

"Uh not that much." Eve didn't like the look of this.
"Generals!" The tall one yelled. Then these generals stepped forward. I count 22 of them. "We have guests. Why don't we show them a good time."
"You can take that good time of yours and shove it up your ass, you tall f*ck. Cause I can take you all on." Hazard said calmly.
"Oh really." He glared at Hazard. "We have powers that you can't believe." He let his hands burst aflame again. Then his generals began to show their powers as well. Some had doubles, but each general has an element. I noticed 2 ice and kinda laughed at that. Then I saw a dark.

"This outta be fun enough for you." I told Hazard.
"Too weak, but the numbers are good." He replied.
"Your surrounded."

I noticed the movement earlier, but whatever. The lackeys circled around us. Leaving us in this little makeshift arena. Gradually getting smaller as they closed in on us. I put Eve behind me and then we triangled around her. Protecting her.

"Bursting your bubble, but we have gifts as well." I smiled.
"Kill them!"

The lackeys all rushed in.

With my blade still sheathed I stuck my arm straight out with a clenched fist. A dark aura started to consume my body, then I quickly opened my hand and a black transparent beam shot out piercing through three of the lackeys killing them instantly. I heard Xenek chant a spell and then the sound of scorching flames and screams of agony soon following after. In the corner of my eye I seen Ved swipe his hand towards the ground with blue dust following quickly after freezing the feet of the bandits closest to him. The ice soon started to rise and soon completely froze the bandits.

I now unsheathed my blade and ran into a circle of the gang, I focused on one enemy, dodging his attacks and letting him hit his friends. I ducked out of a vertical strike and then rose up pulling my blade up cutting him in half, blood spewed from the wound as he fell to the ground. I quickly dissembled the rest of my attackers and then rejoined the others who also killed their share.

"Hm... Looks like i'll have to deal with all your failure later." The lead bandit said. As he stepped closer the ground literally shook beneath us. I seen him reach behind his back and pull out a giant battle axe with spikes running up the shaft and dried blood all over the blade.

"How do you suppose we handle this situation?" I heard Xenek ask.
"Full frontal assault?" I answered.
"No. lets think of a plan here." Ved said.
"Well, we better think fast. Cause jumbo there aint waiting."

"Yeah, I can see that. But he's not the only one." I said looking around us. And within the lower members are the generals. Trying to blend in so they can try to sneak on us.

"I'm not blind." Hazard replied.
"Yeah yeah you two." Eve remarked.

"Hey big leader dude person!" I yelled at the tall guy. He grunted in reply.
I took this as a 'What is it?'
"How about you remove your generals from the ranks and let us deal with these until they decide to run or die. And then we'll fight you and your so called power-goons at once? How about it, scared?" I might've pissed him off with that he glared at me with intense heat but it worked.
"Very well. We will destroy you four. Men. Stay out of this. You have no need to fight. I don't want pointless killing of my troop."
"Smart."

The 22 generals came out and joined the leader. The lackeys moved back and encaged all of us. A wall of swords and other sharp weapons forming a circle with the intent on if we come near they'll slash. He sent 10 of them first. Testing us for the last bit. Though 2 of them kept close to him. 'His right and left hand.' I thought to myself. The first battalion came to us. Trying to scare us with a little show. Each of their bodies became engulfed or surrounded by their element.

I looked at Hazard and then at Xenek with a are-they-serious face. I smiled, "Let's show them what they should be afraid of."
"I'd rather just kill them." Hazard stated.
"That'll scare the others." Eve came in.

Xenek opened his arms and when they began to glow he closed them in a hug motion. An orb surrounded the 10 and densed up. Then became smaller and smaller. Once it got to the size of a small insect, it bursted. Blood splattered a little. But the rest is nowhere. Just some blood nothing else.

The other generals looked at each other uneasy. I walked foward, Hazard too. The generals took a step back. "What are you doing get in there!" Two came at us. They got in range. Just as Hazard brought out the DeathBringer, I flicked my wrist and gripped on the forming sword. They have no chance. Once the got in front of us we brought out our weapons and then slashed once. And kept walking. Four pieces fell as we passed them. Hazard slashed vertically up, while I slashed to my diagonal upper-left.

I noticed them look at my weapon for for the most part what the generals probably saw was the two go in front of us. Then a splash of blood and they fall apart as we walk. And I have a weapon that just appeared. So I dispersed it. It melted out of my hand and dripped to the ground. "If I am going to die then so are you." The tall leader dealed. Him and all his generals ran to us. He got in the lead fairly quick, followed by a lightning general.

I swung my hand across my body as Hazard rushed in to greet them. He ducked just as my new ability flew above him. He got back up and ran at the new frozen ornaments, shattering them all. One particular tall one began to glow and bursted out of his shell, fairly pissed and angry. The arena around us began to lower their weapons, stunned at me freezing them and the speed Hazard is shattering them. And then big dude busted out. Hazard destroyed the rest and regrouped with me. Big guy rushed us foolishly, anger. I shook my head. In an instant Hazard and him clashed. Two parrys from Hazard and tall guy's head flew through the air.

"Leave all of you." I 360ed around telling the lackeys. "If you don't want to die."

They dropped their weapons and began to run away. All of us rejoined. "Well we got a camp." Eve smiled.
"Let's start the fire and look for food." I said as I looked at the sky. Almost dawn.

"Xenek, you start the fire. Hazard and I'll look for food." Ved said and turned now facing me. "You wanna go alone or look together?"
"Do I really have to answer that question?" I asked and started walking towards the forest in the opposite direction of him. I heard him snicker and then start walking.

As I got closer to the forest I pushed the leaves out of my way, I had an uneasy feeling as if someone was watching me. I stopped walking and looked around. All I could see was small animal life. I turned back and continued walking until I heard something russle around in a bush behind me. Without looking drew my blade and sliced at the bush. A deer fell limp with a gash on it's neck, blood was still flowing out of the wound. I knlet down and grabbed the deer's hind legs and started dragging it with me. The feeling as If I was being watched was gone, as I got closer to the camp, I seen Xenek's fire. Ved was already back with a few fish, Eve went out on her own and picked berries. As I got closer the feeling of being watched returned, I turned my head slightly but still walked closer to the others.

When I was close enough I pulled the deer in front of me and started skinning it with my dagger. The tearing sound was making Eve uneasy.

"You might wanna turn your head for this part." I said as I drew my sword.

She turned her head and covered her face. I picked up the deer by it's front legs, sliced off the head and then the back legs, and finally the front legs. Eve was still hiding her face, I threw all the parts out of sight and told Eve she could uncover her face. As she did her face lit up to the sight of the roast I had prepared. Still having the feeling like I was being watched I stood up and walked back over to the forest.

"Everything alright?" I heard Eve ask from the distance. I waved signaling it was.
I turned and started walking back, then Ved shouted. "Hazard, watch it!"

I quickly did a 180 and was impaled in the shoulder with a shuriken. Quickly after one hit me in the thigh forcing me onto a knee. Just after that, one was aimed at me throat, but I dodged it. Rustling in a tree as a girl dressed in leather dropped down with a short-sword drawn. I pulled the shurikens out and tossed them to the ground, my wounds slowly healed as I stood to my feet. As the girl got closer ready to strike, I used my trench to teleport behind her. But she was already ready to attack and quickly striking at me, I stopped her by the wrist and then grabbed her throat lifting her into the air. As time passed I started to feel her weaken, the blade dropped from her hand and soon after she fell unconscious. I loosened my grip and laid her on the floor as the others got closer.

"What do you suppose we should do with her?" I asked them.

I looked at the others who just looked back at me and shrugged. I turned to the chick. "We should wait till she wakes up and find out what she's doing attacking us."

"It's pretty obvious she wanted to kill Hazard." Eve replied.
"Not really. He was just the closest." I told her.
"Whatever." Hazard stepped over her and walked back to the fire.
"Uhm-"
"No." Hazard cut in knowing what I intended to say.

I sighed and smiled. But regardless I went over and picked her up myself. I placed her over my shoulders and then walked back to the campsite. I only wanted to stay for food and rest maybe an hour and then leave again. But this happened. I placed her near the fire. And began to cook the fish alongside Hazard.

When the food was just about down she began to stir a little. Then her eyes flickered open.

OOC: I think I have to much time on my hands...

Sitting on the log near the fire, I watched the girl closely. She lifted her one hand and started rubbing her forehead until she turned her head and looked directly into Veds eyes.

"Hi." Ved said, she freaked and jumped up reaching for her weapon. But I moved quicker and grabbed her arms and held them behind her back. I heard something pop and then she somehow flipped over me and I heard the popping sound again. In the corner of my eye I seen her pull a kunai out from behind her and hold it to my throat. Ved raised to his feet, his palms open with mist floating off them.

I shook my head acknowledging I'd be fine.

"If anyone does anything stupid, he dies." the girl said with a raised voice. "Come on."
She was tugging on my shoulder trying to get me to follow her, but I stayed still. Then she gave a strong jerk and I spun around, using my one arm knocking the weapon away and then grabbing her wrist. The other hand clamped onto her throat.
What is wrong with you? We did nothing for you to try and attack us. I said to her and added more force to her wrist making her drop the kunai. Ved put his hand on my shoulder and I loosened my hold. She was scared, I removed my hand from her throat and placed it on top of her head. Both our eyes met, I could see all the bad things that happened to her. The first years of her life were nothing but joy and wealth, then her parents died to an illness called the Red Death . Similar to the move I call Bleeding Sorrows but is curable now. She lived in the streets for years, poor and scared like she was now. On one night a man dressed in all black picked her up and trained her in the ways of an assassin, now she is here trying to kill us.

"It's alright, there's nothing to be afraid of." I let the girl go and Ved took over talking to her, I was only there to kill her if she got out of hand. Hm? Your bleeding. Ved reached up to wipe the cut away from her face. Must’ve cut herself when I pushed the kunai away.
"Dont!" She smacked his hand away and covered the wound.
"I just want to help, let me take a look."
"No If you touch my blood you with die..."
"But... Isnt that what you were here for, to kill us?" Ved asked.
"Not yous... Only him." She pointed at me. I let out a quick breath. "I'm a demon hunter. A client paid me 5K to take care of him, but what I don’t get... Is my client was a warrior who could've taken you out by himself."
"Your client was setting you up. If he could've taken me out by himself he would have done it, but then again not many people can take me out. And I highly doubt your client is even strong enough to handle my skills."
The girl sighed, still not letting her guard down. "Why didn't you kill me? This is a disgrace to my honor, kill me!"
"Well," I said drawing my blade "You heard the girl." When I stepped forward Ved got in my way. I sheathed my blade looking at the girl and then back up to Ved. He kneeled down next to her.
"Theirs no reason for any of us to have to kill you. I mean, you tried to kill Hazard and all. But I bet he’s had something like this done to him plenty of times." Ved looked up at me, I grinned and looked back at Eve and Xenek. Eve had a confused face wondering what was going on. Xenek was just watching closely, His eyes never leaving the girl. I heard the girl stand with Ved, I turned my head so I could look at her. Her eyes were cold when she stared at Ved, he disgraced her honor by letting her live after failing her mission. I knew the feeling, I may have never failed in one of my missions like this. But I've seen plenty people do so and feel the shame. I've seen plenty more do so and lose their lives.

"So what's your name?" Ved asked the girl.
"Telling you would be a disgrace. I an only tell the person I'm hunting my name, and that's when their on the ground breathing their last breath."
"Well good luck with that, cause I'm not gonna die just yet." I said turning my entire body to face her, my hand on the hilt of my blade. I seen she had her hand in her back pouch where she keeps the kunai's. But Ved stepped in between us... Again.
"I don't think fighting will solve this problem." Ved said.
"Of course it won't. If she's hunting me, then that means once they find out that she has failed others will keep coming until I am dead.." I answered him. The girl stayed silent, still with her hand in the pouch. When Ved was about to stay something the girl pulled a small crystal ball out of the pouch and slammed it onto the ground, creating a wall of smoke making it easy for her to get away. I drew my blade and pushed Ved out of my way. I left the smoke and looked around for the girl. Right when I exited the smoke, I seen a fire ball, and inside was the girl panicking. Xenek and Eve were walking over, Xenek had one of his hands out to hold the barrier. As I walked towards her, Ved followed me.

"Nice one." I said to Xenek when we were side to side.
"We don't want to kill you. But if we have to we will." Ved said. "We're looking for a portal out of this time and back to our own. It kinda looks like and ancient passage statue."
The girl was calming down since Xenek was lowering the fire ball. "I did see something like that when I was looking for yous..."
"Think you could show us where it is?" Ved asked. The girl stayed silent. "Please?:
"Alright." The girl started. "But only if afterwards, I get to fight him." She pointed at me. "One on One. No one else gets involved."
"Whatever. If you want to die that badly, then so be it. Just show us the way to our destination." I said to the girl.
"Hang on. I was hoping you wouldn't want to go through with this." Ved said. He was getting on my nerves with this shit too.
"Stop being a f*cking pussy!" I shouted. "If you ever want to see that girl again then shut up and accept the facts that some people are going to have to die along the way. Now, show us where the passage is."

The girl nodded and started walking ahead of us. I was right behind her, Eve was next to Ved talking to him and Xenek was last in the line. The girl was putting a patch over the cut on her face, I seen her pull some type of medicine out and pour some on a rag. Then she damped it onto her face and kinda let out a yelp of pain, after that she put a band-aid over it and looked back at us still walking. Her eyes were cold with plenty of hate in them for me and everyone else that was following her. After she reached a four-way intersection she stopped and looked back, waiting for us to catch up.

“So which way? Or are you trying to lead us into a trap?” I asked her waiting for the others to catch up.
“I already told you I’d lead yous to this artifact your looking for. After that, I’m going to kill you and take your head back to my master to collect my pay.” The girl said looking past me and at the others who were just catching up.
“We need to go this way.” The girl pointed to the east. “Continuing down this path, we’ll enter a city known as KnightFall. There you’ll find your artifact, then I’ll be able to finish my mission.”
“For now. Let’s just stick to getting to the city, I’m hungry and my meal was interrupted.” Eve said walking into the center of all of us. The assassin just looked at her, then up to Xenek.
“What?” Xenek asked coldly, the assassin blinked slowly then turned her head towards KnightFall.

Without saying anything she continued walking. We followed her this time Xenek was next to me and Ved and Eve were last in the line. I looked over at Xenek, he had his arms in the sleeves of his robe and was watching the girl until he noticed me looking at him.

“I take it there’s something you want to ask me?” he asked looking back at the assassin.
“Yeah. When are you and Eve breaking off of this little party? I could care less about you, but ever since Eve has joined this team, she’s been making everything harder. Plus she’s always the one getting captured.”
“So, you do actually care for someone other then yourself.” Xenek answered. I simply looked at him. “Ever since I joined up with you and Ved, you were always cold-hearted and out to kill everyone who got in your way. I bet if it wasn’t for Ved, you would’ve sliced my throat and left me to die when you had the chance. But the one thing I never could figure out, a person only ventures for so long unless he has a reason to venture. And killing isn’t a very good excuse, there’s something that your hiding form us. What it is, I may never know and I may not want to know what it is.”

I looked back at the assassin when Xenek was done explaining himself. She had a walk that I recognized, I seen it when I was still in training. I thought about it for a few seconds ut nothing came to mind. I looked back at Eve and Ved, Eve was holding her stomach and ranting to Ved about something that made him chuckle. I looked forward again and noticed that the assassin had stopped at the top of a hill, she was looking down. When I neared her side she pointed, I gazed at the sights, past the fog and through all the trees, there laid a village, KnightsFall.

The sun was setting, and the tempature was dropping. If we could make it to the city, then we could sleep in an inn until morning. But the assassin was restless for a fight, and I was willing to give her one.

“All we have to do is get down this hill, and near the city is your artifact.” she neared the hill and started to slide down it. I followed first, Xenek pulled eve in close and started levitating down, Ved stuck his hand out and made an ice slide. When we all made it to the bottom, the assassin continued walking. When we were close to the city she did a sharp turn and cut her way through the forest until we were led to a wide open field, and at the end there laid the portal. From the designs, I knew this one. It could only be activated when blood was offered to the demon guarding the way.
“Now I lived up to my end of the bargain, it’s time for yous to get out of this fight.” The assassin walked to one side of the field waiting for the others to take a seat and watch the battle. I took the opposite side, I took my coat off and laid it on the ground behind me. The girl removed her four kunai from her pouch and dropped the rest on the floor. She turned them all on her fingers and formed a claw like weapon, I also noticed at her side a short-sword. I glimpsed over at the others, Eve had an exciting expression on her face as always when a battle was about to start, Ved seemed disappointed, and Xenek looked serious, as always.

The girl lifted her hand and threw one of the kunai at me, I quickly drew my blade and knocked it away. She smiled as if she was pleased, then she used a technique that I seen in my past. She jumped back and teleported. After seeing this technique, I lost focus and just dodged a death-strike that was aimed for my head but only hit my back when I rolled out of the way. I turned to face the girl but she was gone, I turned to block her, but she wasn’t there. Then I heard her footsteps behind me and turned just in time to stop a kunai from hitting me head. The girl stayed there this time to show a grin, then she teleported again and immediately appeared in front of me shocking me, she made a kiss and struck at me, but now she was in my domain, I easily dodged attacked with a flurry of y own. Amazingly she dodged them all then back flipped away and teleported to the other side of the field.

“Not what you expected is it Hazard?”
“What? How do you know my name? I never told you it.” I said to the girl.
“Of course you did, you obviously don’t remember who I am. Let me remind you.” The girl lifted up the part of her shirt showing her stomach. There laid a scar that I remember making in training, then the girls name came to me.
“Lylia Why would you hunt your own kind? Forget that, how did you survive all this time?”
She smirked “I met up with your friend Stuzzie or whatever his name was. Then I found out he created and Elixir of Youth, took advantage of him, and stole the elixir whenever I could and stashed it away. I’ve had over 500 years of training, something you’ll never have And now, I’m going to collect my bounty, whether you want to go peacefully or not.”
“Ha ha ha, you actually think 500 years of training will make you better then me? I’ve fought in thousands of wars leaving unscratched. Although, I will admit, you’ve gotten stronger. And I’m very proud you’ve over came everything the trainers said you wouldn’t. Although, using your body to take advantage of a moron like Stuzzie is just low, you forgot all about honor, and for that I will kill you.”

After our little chat she teleported and this time I was focused, I blocked her side attack and then she teleported behind me, at which time I ducked and swept at her feet. She jumped over me and front-flipped with one hand, using the other to try and cut at me. I blocked that attack and pushed her to the side. Before she touched the ground she teleported again and appeared at the end of the field.

“What’s wrong? Afraid of death? Then maybe you should’ve chosen and easier opponent ” I shouted at her.
“Your not that tough, believe me. I’m holding back greatly.” Lylia sheathed her blade and threw the remaining kunai in the ground. She stuck her arms by her side in an ‘L’ shape. Her eyes were closed, then something that shocked me happened. An electrical aura started to surround her, small rocks from the earth were being lifted into the air and crumbling into smaller rocks, when I looked at her hair I knew what was happening. It changed from dark brown to a bright purple, at the end she stretched out her arms creating a ball of energy which created a small crater in the ground. She was able to go ascended whenever she wished it, she was stronger then me, but I’m not going to give up without a fight.

“Like I said, I was holding back greatly. And there is nothing that you can do, your death is inevitable. And just to make this fair, I won’t use any weapons. But you still can.”
I dropped my black and removed the sheath. “I don’t think I’ll need weapons to beat you.”

Lylia smiled and looked at me with her big, bright purple eyes. They were as cold as I remembered them in training, I would always taunt her when she faced off against me, well I guess this is her payback. She teleported and I anticipated her attack, but now she was much faster. I wasn’t able to block her attack. She started off with something simple, a hard hit to the gut, then she teleported behind me and swept me off my feet, while still in the air, she slid herself underneath me and thrust kicked me in the back, sending me straight into the air. With pain coursing through my entire body, I turned my head to look down. Lylia wasn’t there as I expected, when I looked back up I seen her back, but she quickly turned and smashed her leg into my chest. If I were human, I would be dead by now.

When I hit the ground, the impact was so great that my body was outlined into the ground. Through the smoke, I could see her up in the sky. Her arm extended fully, only two fingers pointed outward. Then I seen a pink ball of energy from on the tip, the ball quickly multiplied, then I heard her shout and her attack was unleashed, I started rolling to the side evading the attack, then when I had the chance I flipped up off the ground using my back. I landed on both my feet and looked up, not to my surprise she was gone. Luckily I looked down just in time to push her knee to the side and get a powerful haymaker right into her face sending her flying into the trees. I seen dust clouds from and trees fall. In a short while, lights from energy seeped through the cracks and then a ball of energy formed and disintegrated everything it touched. The energy died down and Lylia was standing there.

“That hurt you know.”
“Yeah, well imagine all the shit your doing to me, how do you think that feels?”
“Hm... Good point. But I’ve had enough of this, it’s been fun Hazard. Too bad we couldn’t do the other we used to do.”

After she was done talking she extended her arm again. This time her palm was wide open, a small red energy ball formed and in seconds it grew giant. “Bye.” The attack glided towards me for a few seconds, then impaled itself in the ground leaving behind a trail. I stuck my arms out and caught the attack, but I knew that if I didn’t change, it would be all over. I heard Lylia laughing at my attempts to overcome and defeat her.

“Come on Hazard, just give up. All your doing is making your friends have to hope and see you win. But don’t worry, after your gone, I’ll finish them off. But your blue haired friend, I think I’ll just take control of him and use him as a puppet. Just like I used you when we were training, my mind was stronger then, and it still is now.”
“You never could beat me, so you used one of your tricks...” I struggled to speak and hold my own. “To get me kicked out of my own realm... Right after I lost the dearest person to me, the only person who didn’t judge me The one who made me who I am today ”
“She was a full for thinking you would become something great, and I’m glad she died the way she did.”

I could feel the rage within my soul growing, I could feel the power within me start to increase beyond anything Lylia could dish out. She could disgrace me and the clan in whatever way she wanted, but I would never let her get away with saying something like that about the one person I cared about so much. I could feel the energy ball getting lighter, I could see the lightning aura starting to surround my body, chunks of earth were being removed from the ground and were simply being broken into handfuls, I seen my arms and the rest of my body glow bright red, then I extended my arms from blocking, straight down. The energy ball hit me, but did nothing as my body unleashed loose energy like Lylia’s did. Except my explosion was stronger and much bigger. It pushed the ball into the sky and out of view. When I could see Lylia, her expression showed nothing but fear.

“Do you see now? You can’t win You never could, you may be able to change whenever you feel like it, but I am a true Ascended, my power comes from deep within. You are nothing, and it does end here!”

I levitated shortly off the ground, and in the blink of an eye, I moved right behind Lylia and struck her in the back of the head with my right elbow. She staggered forward and teleported away. I could sense exactly where she went and followed her. I appeared behind her, she attacked the area where I was with a small beam attack that was aimed for most likely my head, she didn’t bother to even look. She just left it go and created a giant cloud of smoke. When she thought she had me, I reached around and grabbed her throat with my right hand. At the time it was empty, but as soon as I grabbed her, I created a ball of red energy and threw her along with it. It guided her along the air burning into her skin, she grabbed it with her hands and pushed it away sending it into the air, once it was a few feet away it exploded with enough force that could’ve killed her. When she looked at me, I moved quickly again, this time right in front of her. Before she could act, I kneed her in the stomach and then spun around behind her and kicked her in the back of the neck with my shin. When she was almost near the ground, she forced herself from hitting the ground and was only feet in the air. I could see her bright eyes look straight up at me, there was nothing but hate and anger left in them.

“I will not lose to you again! Today is the day of a new beginning! And the day of your demise!” she shouted at me, then extended her hands out like a cross. Her purple lightning aura appeared again, surrounding her body and coursed to her arms, through and out to her palms creating two big purple energy balls. She combined her arms fusing her attack together making it even stronger. She pointed at me, “DIE!” She shouted, her attack came at me in a giant beam form. I stuck my arm out, palm open, her attack met my hand and stopped there. Their was great force behind it, and for a moment I thought it was going to overwhelm me.

“Have you ever heard of an attack by the name of “Nova?” I waited for an answer, but didn’t hear one. “No?! Well guess what, your going to witness it first hand!” A small burning dot formed into the palm of my hand and expanded. It grew bigger then Lylia’s attack, and soon started to engulf it. “It’s over! And this is where you die!” I pulled my arm back and pushed it forward sending the giant fire ball towards Lylia. I heard her start to panic and add more power to her attack, I also seen it start to come near me. I laughed evilly, and sent more of my own power into my attack. It started to overwhelm her attack again, after a few seconds, her attack was completely gone and I heard her start to scream as she tried to push it back. I smiled and quickly flew down, pulled my right arm back and hooked it with an energy punch. The ‘Nova’ attack exploded, shooting straight up into space. The brightness from the explosion even blinded me. After a minute or two, the brightness died down, when I could seen again Lylia was gone and I couldn’t sense her life form anywhere. There were craters all over, I looked over to where the others were, there was a giant sheet of ice created by Ved covering them that was also enchanted by Xenek. I looked at my chest, my shirt was shredded, my gloves had holes in them, my pants had rips and tears in them. My aura was still surrounding me, I tried decreasing my power so I could go back to normal but it wasn’t working. Walking over to where I placed my blade I picked it up and placed it into my belt, then went and picked up my coat. I heard the ice melt and the enchantment dispel. I looked back at the others. Eve was the first to charge at me, she punched my chest but was shocked by my aura and she jumped back. Ved and Xenek came over after they heard her yelp.

“What’s going on?” Xenek asked.
“He shocked me.” Eve said rubbing her hand.
“I didn’t mean to, for some reason I can’t go back to normal... Although, I don’t mind harnessing al this power.”
“Well... You do have a new look. It might keep people away from us.” Ved said, then he looked at the statue. It was still standing straight up, as if nothing happened around it. Ved was the first to run at it, Eve followed shortly afterwards, Xenek and I were the last ones to reach it. “We’ve finally made it...” Ved said.
“This is the one... Although I don’t know where it’ll take us. I do know it’ll take us to the right time we need to get to.” I said, I walked towards it.
“How do we activate it?” Ved asked.
“Gotta give it some blood. For each person going through, the demon has to drink their blood.” I said unsheathing my dagger. “Who’s first?”
Xenek stepped up, “I’ll go. Make sure it’s safe and then Eve can come through.”
“Alright... But I’m not up for this bleeding thing.” Eve said. Before she noticed I made a small cut on her forearm that was big enough to let some blood out. I handed the dagger to Xenek who cut the back of his hand and placed his hand over the demons mouth. It’s eyes glowed brightly and a blue portal opened up, allowing Xenek to walk through. As soon as he did, it closed. I looked down at Eve, who didn’t notice the cut yet. She held her already cut arm out and closed her eyes. I grabbed her wrist and wiped my finger across where the cut was. She jumped and then opened her eyes to see the wound. Placing her arm over the demons mouth, it’s eyes glowed again, and then the portal opened. Eve walked through looking back until the portal closed.

“So... Whose next?” Ved asked.
“You go. You want to get back to that time more then I do.” I answered holding out my dagger. He nodded and cut his forearm, held it over the demons mouth until the portal opened, doing the same as everyone, he walked through and the portal closed. I was the last to go through, I held my dagger over my forearm and cut. I let blood drip out before the wound could quickly heal. The demons eyes glowed, the portal opened, and I looked at myself one more time, still Ascended. Looking up, I walked through the portal and rejoined the others. Maybe now we'll be able to find the other's we once left behind.

My body morphed and then went back to the way it should be. I stood in a forest. Xenek and Eve already looking around. I moved forward just as Hazard appeared. “There’s something different here.” Xenek started.

“I agree,” Hazard concurred as he looked around as well.
“But we are in our realm.” Xenek looked over to me. “Do you think they can tell us?”
I looked at him somewhat confused. Then Hazard sighed and pointed. I looked, a tree. I chuckled and then thought about it. The trees were also frozen so they didn’t age as well. So they should know. “Yeah they might.”
“Well then ask them.”
“Fine.” I closed my eyes. “How long has it been since the fight with a dark entity named Forever?”

I waited for a reply. A wisp came and then with rustling came the voice, “… Don’t…”
“Can you find out?”
“Yes…” it rustled.

I heard someone, like a whisper. But I couldn’t make it out. I began to lose my focus on the trees and opened my eyes. “Ah.” I flinched. Hazard began to snicker. Eve stood directly in front of me, saying things. “I’m sorry I had to focus on the voice.”

“Okay then. You just wanted to ignore me.”
“I did not.” I argued.
“I’m kidding. But what did it say?” She replied softly with a smile.
“Well these trees don’t know about Forever, but they are finding out right now.” I told them.
“So then they are getting in contact with the ones that were in the forest at the time.” Hazard said more to himself.
“Pretty much that’s it.” I sat down. “I’m going back to wait for them.”
“Alright.” Eve said, as Xenek nodded.

I closed my eyes once more and waited for it to come back. Minutes came and went. I felt my body go colder. My mind began to stay focused but I can see an image in the darkness. Movement. I couldn’t see the thing doing the movement but I could tell what it is doing. It’s showing me my new abilities. I can use the slash like ability, as well as the GPS like ice crystal. But then it did something. Something new. Waves began to come from me. Kinda like shockwaves but it froze the ground with each wave. Looked like my slash. Then it stopped and it did one more thing. It formed a sword of water. I could do that already so that wasn’t new; and then it froze it, again nothing new. But next it began to bend the sword. It bent it all the way around and made a circle with the blade. ‘Malleable ice.’ Finally I can begin to bend ice without breaking it. I used it for bow wires but that was all I could use it for, cause it’s very small and thin and it has its’ limits.

And we’re finally here. Back to our realm. Feels good. “..Two…. years in… three months…..”
“Thank you.” I spoke again. I began to unfocus.
“…more… tech-”

I cut off the focus just as it said that. I still heard it. It said technology. And it thanked us from the forest that Forever is in. I can still hear it without focusing; it’s just harder to hear it most of the time. Easier to focus on the words. Cause then you can get the voices of other trees on the side and get their info. Even though I don’t have to sit for focus, just felt like it. Give my legs a rest. I opened my eyes fully and looked to see some things differently. Ice covered the ground around me.

Confused, I stood up and searched for the others. I saw Hazard next to a tree leaning on it. “About time you got rid of those shockwaves.”

I just stared at him. “Shockwaves?”
“Yes. While you were in your meditated like state you began to let out shockwaves, which began to freeze everything it passed. Almost froze me and then we got out of it’s range and just waited for you to stop it.” Xenek informed.

It came clear to me and I just told them about my new powers. “Oh sorry. Well apparently I am growing with my gifts. I saw the new abilities I can manifest with. The chain like slash I used on the pendulum before, the tracking ice crystal, the freezing shockwaves which just happened, and now I should be able to bend ice.”

“So what’s going on with the realm?” Hazard reminded me.
“Oh well in three months it’ll be 2 years since our fight with Forever. And that was only a couple months before the incident.”
“So it's almost two years since we were last here." Xenek repeated.
"Yeah. Also, the trees said that the technology has advanced as well. I think it might be like the realm that we first appeared in. How they had those guns and stuff. I'm not so sure though." I continued.
"Well that's not that bad." Eve said.
"Do you guys want to get the first direction now?" They agreed and then I heard the voice come. It heard the question when I asked them. "Ok well we should start heading North-East for the nearest town. It's called Tremal."
"Yes, good food." Eve cheered.

Hazard and me glared at her. "What? I'm not saying that you two are bad cooks.... it's just that these are better... You know....." She looked around, "Let's go!"

I laughed and patted Hazard's shoulder and moved on. Xenek pointed us in the Northeast direction and we began our walk to Tremal. The voice of the trees didn't mention anything about it being in the forest so I'm sure that we first have to get out of here. As we walked I couldn't help wonder what happened to Vivi and Leicy. Also what happened to Awol. He just disappeared. At least I left that ice crystal. If he wants to get back in touch with me all he has to do is follow that crystal. We just may see him once more. And as I looked at Hazard it made all my other thoughts go away and leave the ones about his new look. He's still in his Ascended state. I can't help but think this is more bad then good. Cause I doubt he's been like that for more then a fight. I don't know if he can keep it in control. That form is very powerful, so if he can't control it when he tries to do things then it'll be very catastrophic.

But on the other hand, last time we were here we had a lot of troubles. A lot of things happened. And I also have to find her again. But not only that, but I have to go back to the palace. Dad needs to know about Vade. Although I don't want to go back for the role of prince. But Eve would love the food there. And they would all sleep in good rooms and all that other stuff. But I want to find her first. "Ved!" Hazard gripped my shoulder, I could tell by the shock of electricity and his grip.

"Ow," I writhed out of the grip. "What's- Oh.... I see."

We weren't out of the forest but we're at the end of it and can see out of it. In front of us stood the village. So far nothing really new that we could see in technology. Besides the metal fences and a huge light that hovers over the middle of the village. I'm guessing it turns on at night. The buildings are a little big to be noticed for a village. Looked nice none the less, except the one thing that's throwing it's niceness off. Which would be a hell of a lot of screaming and sounds of battle.

"Let me guess. Go in and help?" Hazard looked at me.
"Exactly. Just try not to do anything big when you fight. Don't over do it." I replied.
"Well we should hurry." Xenek rushed.

We began to run towards the village. We weren't at the entrance so a fence stood in our path. Maybe 6'5" tall. Hazard in the lead, jumped over it. I grabbed Eve's arm and picked her up on my back and cleared the fence followed by Xenek. We ran around the house that stood in our way as well and got to the main road. We stopped at the sight. People in villager clothing, fought some people in armor. The ones in armor winning. I counted 8 in armor but something different happened; three more soldiers came with rope-wire in their hands. They pulled in a creature, just as they killed some more people. The creature stood on two legs, though it looks like it can stand on all fours. It reminded me of a Velier, but the difference is that these are bigger and they're shiny at some parts with tubes and wires connecting a shiny part to another shiny part. "Robotic," Hazard muttered. "Easy still."

I figured not to question what a 'robotic' is. At least not now, after the fight. It poses no immediate threat to us. Yet I feel there is more to this 'robotic' then it looks, possibly something inward. Suddenly Xenek thrusted his arm forward. A shield went over a villager that was about to be dealt a final blow. Then the shield left the peasant and formed around the soldier. The barrier turned red and then the insides went bright with fire. The barrier faded and only charred armor laid with ash on the floor. "Eve, look for people. Xenek go with her. Find survivors and protect them." I ordered them.

They nodded and left just as all the soldiers decided to give us a proper greeting. The 7 stood in the front. The other three in the back holding back the 'robotic'. One soldier with more detailed armor, his armor has spikes coming out of his shoulders, knees, and elbows. All are pointed upwards in standard position. Well this guy walked up to us very cockily. "Who are you? Are you after the vials as well?" I just looked at hazard confused. He looked back and shrugged. "It doesn't matter you're dead anyhow. Kill them!"

Big mistake. Soldiers and bandits are generally so stupid and cocky. Six of them ran up and stopped, and walked steadily forward. Smart. The leader stayed back. Why do they always stay back? One jumped into range, Hazard's area. The guy has a war axe that he lifted over his head and brought it down on Hazard. The axe impacted with Hazard's shadow. Then I paid attention to my own battle to come.

Two soldiers advanced on me while I paid attention to Hazard. I pulled back my stomach to avoid a stab and then twisted around the swordsman. I grabbed his throat and kicked out his kneecaps from behind while pulling up on his neck. I turned and glimpsed as Hazard half-heartingly punch the axeman in the ribcage, the impact made his torso explode on the other side. Blood hit me, just as I bent forward avoiding a horizontal slash from behind. I kicked up from behind and front-flipped. Kicking the guy in the chin. Another explosion and splatter of blood. I landed to see another soldier falling to the ground with no head and shoulders. His arms limply fell to the ground before his legs gave out.

I turned back around and grabbed the spear of an attacking soldier. I pulled him in and kicked him back out. The spear in my hands now. I threw it and it pierced the armor at his shoulder joint. I jump kicked it further through and it hit a wall of a building and he got pinned to it. Two more explosions quickly followed. That's six. A grunt came from the leader. I wiped some blood from my face and joined Hazard's side. "Send it in boys."

The three men released their hold on the rope. The Velier looking 'robot' glared at us. It's arm entire;y shiny with a crimson pulse on the back of the claw-paw. It then raised that arm pointed directly at us. It slashed behind it and sprinted forward. It jumped into the air, intent on crushing us. Hazard rolled out of the shadow as I flipped aside. It landed with a crash, the metal arm in the ground. Shattered pavement and dirt cracked all around. The beast quickly turned away from me directly after a clinging sound echoed in my head. Hazard went to attack and it blocked him with the arm. I moved closer and kicked it from behind. A rushing sound and I flew back. I put my arms to the ground and back springed back up. That's when I noticed a tail. It ran up it's back at first, hidden. Though now it is in plain view. Swaying back and forth, waiting for it's moment to strike something once more.

Now that is going to pose as an object in the way. I sighed and then heard rapid footsteps around me. I turn to see the three soldiers that held the reins for the creature. "Come on guys..." I looked at them in the eyes. One by one. "You'll just lose."

They looked at each other and then began to spread out. I looked back to see the creature, and even with Hazard being Ascended, it still managed to block another of his attacks. Hazard can manage himself in that. I focus back to my enemies. They triangled around me. I faced one directly, whilst the other two stood at each of my sides. The one in front holding an axe as the two at the side wield a lance and a spear. I began this quarrel by sprinting straight ahead. I leaped ahead above a hack from the ax and placed my foot on his forehead with all my momentum gathered from the sprint and leap and bounced back off him, leaning back, with a flip as he sprawled to the ground. My legs extended they came down perfectly. On the other two's head as they were running after me. Each foot connected to it's individual target. I pushed forward this time. Front-flipping off of their heads. I landed on my knees and hands.

I zipped around to make sure they're down. And not to my surprise, they are. I run to Hazard's not needed aid. I arrive just as he is ripping the metallic arm right off. A tearing sound, followed by a snapping and shrieking. It ripped the other arm through the air and connected with Hazard's own fist. It's arm rippled and then bursted from the claw/paw to the shoulder. I noticed out of the corner of my eye the leader turn and run away, kinda like a Velier running scarred with it's tail between it's legs.

Still focused on the main fight I watched. Hazard can take this on easily. It's tail shot over it's head directed at Hazard. He moved quickly and grabbed the tail. Changed it's target and launched it. It hit it's target. The tail pierced straight through the beast's neck and it flew back a couple feet to the ground. Green blood puddled around. I stepped back avoiding the spreading.

Hazard walked up triumphantly to me. "Easy."
I smirked at that. "Oh really? It blocked one of your Ascended punches."
"Okay, that stupid arm was annoying me. It had to go."

The grounds a mess. Puddles of red and green blood, pieces of flesh and bone. And a pinned soldier against a wall. Spear in his left shoulder. And I also realized during the fight that the shiny part is actually metal of some sort. So I guess robotic is partly metal. The fighting has ceased, and I guess that the lack of clashing gave it off cause Eve walked over to us, "We found an elder guy who seems to be like the village's mayor. We also have the others in the house that the old guy is in. And I think you'll be interested in what he has to say." She looked at me at the end of that and motioned for us to follow.

Hazard and I both followed her. We passed maybe four houses and other buildings. We came to a small cottage with a porch. We walked through the door. Xenek standing over a group of people. All looked fairly similar. Same style of clothing and same emotion, fear and then happiness when we stepped in. Though one stood out. Not because of his looks, though he clearly is the oldest one among them. But his eyes gave off an aura of a wise-man, one that also knows that of magic of some sort.

He went to stand as we came in. He placed his hands on the floor and helped himself up. Speaking as he got halfway there. "Oh. Thank you all." He fully stood. "These are bad times for me and my village."

"Why is that?" I asked gently. Hazard gave me a glare but I ignored it, I know he doesn't want another mission from some 'low some' person that needs help.

"Well ever since I created the vial that is able to raise the dead back to life I've been hassled for it." He spoke. Then looked around with those old, wise eyes. "Oh. lease forgive me. My name is Erwin."

"Did you say something about a resurrection vial?" Curious Eve.
"Yes. I have made four vials. But since I made the second one I have been hassled about giving them up by merchants, bandits, and now soldiers as well. This is our sixth attack we've had."

"Sounds rough. Sorry to hear that." I looked at my companions. "But I'm also sorry that we can't help out anymore then what we just did. We really are in a hurry."
"I understand. And as a token of my appreciation and gratitude I will give you two vials."
"You don't have to." Xenek said solemnly.
"But please. I insist. Follow me."

Erwin left the cottage and hobbled down the stairs. I noticed him limping and guessed that he has a bad leg. Though he kept talking to us as he led us on. A group of people following behind us.

"I don't mind it cause I have two others and I can still make more. Just remember, the spirit of the person has to be willing to come back. And they also have to choose what stage of life they are coming back in. For example, I would like to come back when I'm 23. Stuff like that."
"Alright."
"Other then that, don't let anyone take this from you. It can bring back close to anything. We haven't tried it on things that are too powerful for us to handle."

I nodded and we reached the destination. Erwin opened the double door made of dense metal. he hinges made no sound as the doors swayed open. The room isn't that big at first, but it's tall and a wheeled ladder leaned on the far wall. Shelves ran across the walls lined with bottles and books. A big piece of cloth with marks and writing hanged on a near wall. "Wait here." And then he went to the far end, moved the ladder and then placed his hand between two shelf levels. A white flash. I flinched and closed my eyes. I opened them to see him gone.

"Okay. He better hurry the f*ck up." Hazard pressed.

I was about to respond when something materialized at the end of the room. Erwin reappeared with a cloth in his hands. He walked over to me and placed the cloth gently in my hands. I felt the cloth has something inside of it. I thanked him and then he led us outside and to the end of the village. "Thanks agin for this gift. And please train some of your villagers. So that way you wouldn't need any more help."

"I have been trying, but we still need more work. But I should be thanking you. Farewell and good luck."
"Same for you." I waved with my free hand and we began walking. Then I remembered something. I snapped around and raised my voice to be heard. "Where's the next town or village?"

He turned around and pointed ahead. He couldn't reach us with his voice. His hand kept going straight and then he turned and walked away. "So it's ahead." Eve confirmed.

"Yep." I looked at the small cloth.
"Thinking of that for Vade?" Xenek asked.
"Thinking about it." I replied. "And Hazard. Try to go back to normal as soon as possible."
"Hey, that Robotic Velier would've posed trouble if I wasn't like this."
"Still...." I saw something I didn't notice before. "Oh...."
"What?" Eve questioned.
"We have a small road." I pointed at the ground, and we walked on a light part of the ground, a trail or road.

Something then began to bug me. Though I couldn’t quite put a finger on it. It’s not about her. And not about Hazard’s form.

“What’s wrong?” Eve tugged at my arm.
“Huh. Oh. I feel like we left something behind.” I looked back as we moved on.
“That’s because we did leave something behind.” Xenek confirmed my thoughts.
“We left that soldier that you pinned on the wall.” Hazard told.
“Oh yeah. Well at least now they can get info about their attacker and have good weapons too.”

That’s a good thing at least. Like I told the group they now have a base that’s good for training. And maybe Erwin might make some magic vials that can actually be used for offense.
