I let the Grumpy One go ahead, not caring anymore.

"Is it just me or has he been extra grumpy lately?" I questioned.

"Yeah I had noticed it a little while ago, not sure why though." Eve confirmed.

"No use trying to figure it out, he won't tell us unless he wants to."Xenek stated.

"Yeah, yeah. could you at least try Eve?" Ved knew it too, something was wrong.

She sighed and nodded. "Thank you." I gave her a side hug as we walked a long.

"Won't be much longer then right?" I turned to Ved.

"Yeah, just another two or three days." I could see he was listening to the trees, making sure he was right.

We continued walking in silence, each in our own thoughts. No one needed to ask what Ved was thinking about, that was all too easy. I thought about what could be bothering Hazard for a while, I knew it had something to do with that demon inside him or he wouldn't be so afraid to tell us. Hmm, Hazard and afraid, two things that I didn't think I would ever asociate with eachother. I gave up after a while, no use in trying to figure out the impossible. My mind shifted quickly, of course straight to her. Deadra had been relativly quiet the whole time, probably trying to digest everything that happened. I got tired of walking so I had to ask-

"Hey, Deadra." I broke the silence.

"Yeah?" She raised her head.

"Fly with me, I don't know about you but my wings are getting stiff." I grinned.

The only answer she gave me was a skip and leap into the air.

"I guess that's a yes, be back soon everyone." I ran a little and lifted after her.

I wondered what Vade wanted... in any case, I didn't wanna talk about what had happened earlier with Hazard. The situation was worrying me, and if possible, I wanted to take my mind off of it. Before he spoke, I interrupted.

"Wanna spar?"

"What?"

"You heard me," I said, smirking.

"No, listen-" I stopped, unsheathed my sword and struck out at him.

He made a quick maneuver and dodged.

"Good. Now show me what you've got," I said and he smiled.

"Don't get too cocky, I might end beating you again."

"Let's see about that shall we?" I smiled, then rushed at him, he evaded again.

I tried a couple more times, but he just kept evading. How frustrating...

"Stop playing around!" I yelled out annoyingly.

I heard him laugh behind me. "Don't you look cute when you're mad!"

I growled and struck at him again... missed! He was way too fast... his speed was inhuman.

"What are you?" I asked.

"I'm a vampire-elf." He said as he appeared in front of me again. "You gonna stop now, or should I keep waiting till you get tired of TRYING to hit me?"

I smirked and shrugged.

"Guess I can't beat you after all," I put my sword away. "At least not yet."

Looking down, I noticed I couldn't see the others anymore.

"We must've flown pretty far ahead."

He looked down as well. "I think so... wanna wait for them?" I nodded.

We went down into the forest and sat on one of the tree branches, staring down at the trail. I was curious about his story, so I started asking him a lot of questions about how they had ended up here, his siblings... He told me how his sister was killed and he and Ved had avenged her death, I related to the case then we changed the subject and he started talking about his late wife.

"Sorry to hear that..." I said.

"It's alright really, I already accepted it and people move on right?"

I smiled. "Right."

A noise came from the trail in front of us. Sounded like trouble.

"You hear that?" He asked.

I said nothing and flew hastily over to the others.

I watched as Vade followed Deadra into the air. I know all too well what's going on with Hazard, though I promised him that I won't tell the others until the right time, which is when he tells them. He has a right to be like the way he is. I also know to an extent what it's like to have another being in your head... and that's not fun. Especially fighting with it. It takes so much to keep it up, the only thing Hazard has on me with that department is the amount of time it's been going on. And it's hard to keep it up for about an hour to half a day, he had it his entire life and still going strong. I had it hugely for about half a day with another being, and my entire life with the doubts and troubles of my thoughts, fighting with thoughts is jut as hard as fighting with another being. Especially when Lithica and Ged died, while Vade went missing.

We kept walking in our silence. The trees going by patternlessly. I sped up my pace, eventually getting next to Hazard. "Hey bro." I didn't know if he'll take lightly to it, but he did. He just grunted and looked at me. Cause it's kinda true, we've been traveling together for a long time... maybe a year already, don't know. Lost track. It feels like all of us are close like family, to me at least, especially with Hazard, since he's been with me since the beginning. "Is it that?"

"What the hell do you think." He snapped back softly.
I nodded and carefully began to speed each step with a longer stride, trying to pull him further without anyone noticing. And just as I predicted Hazard kept pace with me. In a minute I began talking again. "Dude, I know how things kinda are. But you can't take it out on them, believe me. I know."
"So you're gonna tell me he didn't deserve that?"
"I'm just saying, save it for others, not your 'allies'." I know he doesn't openly call us friends.
He scoffed and I let it sink in.

I stopped picking up speed and let my stride decrease. A faint wisp brushed on my ear, "Careful."

I took this directly into consideration. "Stop." I whispered to Hazard while turning back and waving them up here and blocking the middle of my lips with a finger for silence. I let my senses of trees come all in, like I did when I sensed the scream from them. They came up while Hazard and I waited. Once all here, "Trees told me to be careful." I tried to hear anything, while but nothing came. I closed the intensity keeping a little for little whispers like the earlier warning. But all that came was a rustle ahead of us, followed by faint shouts. "Someone's here."

"No shit." Hazard pointed out my obvious statement.
"I'll scout ahead." I offered.
"All of us shall go." Xenek stated, Awol nodded in agreement.
"Very well." I looked at the trees, "I won't harm you." Then back at the others, "I'll be in the trees, stay behind me and stop when I do, I'll come down and let you know what's up." I looked at them, Hazard's eyes impatient so I hurried.

I scaled the trunk with ease, grabbed a branch and swung around it, landing on my feet. I looked for a clear path, seeing no absolute true path I climbed higher for sturdier branches and ran in the direction of the voices. I heard the faint steps under me, but kept up my pace, the voices getting louder as I got closer. I got closer to the edge of one tree and had to jump about ten feet to get to a branch I could run with again. Another I used ice to make a trail under my feet. I stopped at the edge of a thick branch and looked down. The others stopped as well. I put my palm out to them, mouthing, "Wait here."

I waited for a sign of acknowledgement, and once I got the nods and shrugs I went on. I got to the next tree to hang on a branch and peer onto soldiers, bearing the same resemblance of the ones in Tremal. Then I heard the krunch. I looked further back, seeing the Velier Cyborg. "It's them." I whispered to myself. I turned and heard the creature yowl in annoyance and recognition. I stopped and listened in.

"It's gotten clearer. It's saying their scent is really close." The others cheered. "It's time we pay back our visitors for what they did in Tremal, and take the Vial back with us. The-" the rest of it covered by a roar behind the first Cyborg. Another came into view.

At least it's still light out. I thought knowing that this way everyone will be noticed and they don't expect us to just come out. I turned and went to the next tree as silently as I could, which is like the sound of still water, with the faintest of ripple. I jumped down and quickly explained what I just saw.

Hazard said something first, "What's there to think about, kill them. I need a distraction."
I agreed. So did the others. "There's two, but we can take them, they have some fear of us at least. They went to Tremal to get our scent, they said." I said.
"So they know what we can do." Awol confirmed.
Only to be shot down by me, "Nope, they just know that we stopped the last attack. The villagers cleaned up I'm sure. But that alone can get them to be hesitant. That's why they brought two."
"Oh well, more fun. Just, hit the flesh on those things... well what little they have. That's their weakness." Hazard pointed out. I smiled and we nodded.

We rushed into the fray. Screams of surprise came from the first soldiers, only to be cut out by their death, followed by the yells of the others, the clanks of metal clashing, and the roars of the two Cyborgs.

Charging from the covers of the forest, I quickly drew my scimitar and went for one of the Cyborg-Veliors. It moved faster now that I wasnt in my Ascended form, and it was still much stronger. I dodged a claw attack that was aimed at my chest by rolling backwards on the ground, back on my feet I lunged at it, seeing an opening of flesh on its side. I attacked me again this time with its tail, the last time I fought these things, I used it tail against them. I rolled forward, until I was next to its revealed side, I drew my blade back but was to slow. The cyborg backhanded me across the skull with its arm sending me to the gorund. Intense pain rushed through my body as I pushed myself up. i sensed the cyborg was about to attack, I turned and held my scimitar up blocking its tail from a finishing blow.

I struggled to push it back, but my blade just kept coming closer to my own face. I slightly lifted my left hand on the blade and charged an orb of energy in my hand, then I stuck my arm out and a black beam shot off hitting the velior in its open area. It cried in pain and backed away giving me time to regain my stance. As I was getting up, I noticed Ved was fighting the second cyborg-velior that was with the soldiers. Deadra and Vade were teaming up, taking down the Elite soldiers. Stuzzie, Awol, and Xenek were teaming up to take down the smaller soldiers.

On my feet the cyborg charged at me, I went to jump out of its way, but it swiped me with its tail and knocked me into a tree that was behind me. I shut my eyes before the impact, when I reopened them the cyborg was charging again. I pushed myself forward, I put my right forward forward a bit and held out my right arm. Gathering dark energy from the cyborg itself, I created a medium sized orb that I then forced to shrink into a ball big enough to palm in my hand. As the cyborg went to attack, I evaded and threw the small orb in its path. Rolling to the side I watched as the orb grew larger until finally it exploded taking a nice portion of the cyborgs upper-body with it.

Exhausted from stealing dark matter from the cyborg, I turned and watched as the others had their fun.

[Ved]

The Cyborg-Velier I got is a bit of a hassle. I noticed the others taking care of there share, fighting the soldiers while Hazard tookcare of the other CyVe. I dodged a downward punch from the beast. Backflipped out of the way and tossed a shard at a soldier coming from behind. It pierced his neck as blood spewed out of the fatal wound. I sideflipped over a tail sweep from the CyVe. Another soldier fell next to me at the hand of Awol. He nodded and returned to the fray. I paid more attention to the CyVe of mine. It went to punch me once more, I ducked and then I rushed under it's arm grabbed it at it's shoulder and swung myself onto it's back just as an explosion sounded and came a thud.

I didn't look at the incident for I became busy killing this thing. I hooked my legs around its' thick neck and then I raised my hands into the air and a cyan spear formed as I thrusted it down into the thing's unplated neck. I released my legs and pushed of it back, landed swiftly and rolled out of the way of falling CyVe.

After it fell I quickly helped kill the last of the soldiers. Till the last one was about to be killed I grabbed the hand of the struck. Stuzz looked at me, I shook my head and released his wrist. I looked at the guy, the soldier looked back at me, wondering why he just got spared. "You're going to tell us who's your boss, who do you work for?" I asked.

He gave me a defiant stare in reply. "Spit it out, or else." Hazard coldly said. No response. Hazard slashed quickly, cutting his arm. He winced but did nothing. Then once more, agash on the man's chest, rght through his armour. "One more cut and you'll be dead."

He finally said something, "If you need info you'll want me to survive, now you won't kill me."
"No? I'll kill you, I can care less about that city and your needs. I can kill anything you'll send out." Hazard shot back.
Xenek grabbed the gu's arm, at the cut. Smoke began to emit from the wound as he screamed. I then realized that Xenek is doing something to his blood. Xenek let go and the arm went limp and fell to the floor. "I boiled the blood in your arm. I then let it stop at the shoulder at cut the connection. Tell us." Xenek commanded.
"'ll never give into you. Never." Is all he got to say for the rest of his life. For Hazard's blade cut through his collar bone and tendons, head tossed aside and he fell to his knees and then flat out on his belly to the floor.

"So be it." Hazard sheathed his blade.
"What the hell!" I raised my voice. Then sighed quickly... "Nevermind. Let's continue."

"What?" I asked Ved as he looked to the ground. "He was getting us no where, wasting our time. All these two have to do," I pointed at Vade and Deadra, "Is fly into the sky and look for a fortress of some kind for us to raid and end this."
"Well..." Ved said," You do have a point. Vade, Deadra, do yous think yous could check out the skies?" he asked them.
"Right." Vade said quickly nodding his head.

Both Deadra and himself pushed their wings, then bolted into the sky past the trees. I could see them beating their wings to hover in place. In an instance Vade zoomed higher into the sky as Deadra dropped down.

"Any luck?" Stuzzie asked.
"I didnt see anything, but Vade thinks diffrently." She stated looking up.
"I wonder what he sees?.." Xenek asked himself.
I saw Ved was about to say something when Vade landed quickly creating a big air burst, dirt sped at my face and I turned away so nothing would get into my eyes.
"I saw a town a couple miles away, its off our route, but it'll only take us about 1 or 2 hours to get there."
"How do you know its the place were after?" Ved asked.
"I seen a castle with some heavy defense. Thats what reallly caught my eye about the place." Vade said.

"Then lets get going, Vade, you lead the way." Ved stated, Vade nodded and I began following.

We continued walking toward our new destination with newfound strength. Everyone was anxious to rest after the battle, especially Eve, who mostly complained amusingly. Made me wonder how she got stuck with this crew. Must be an interesting story to hear... Then again, they all had their stories to tell. Hazard's seemed the deepest... Although it might be something I wouldn't like to hear.
We walked a relatively short distance until we hit the bustling town, filled with merchants and cobbled floors. Eve was panting heavily and I laughed.

"You're way out of shape, maybe you should quit eating so much." I teased.

"Oh shut up." She retorted and kept walking, pretending not to be tired.

"Not so funny when someone else does it to you is it?" She kept walking and I smirked.

A guard stopped us at the gates and stared at the bunch.

"State your business."

Ved was about to say something when Hazard interrupted.

"None of yours." He said before smashing his head against the wall. I heard bones cracking and winced. "Not that it matters now anyways."

He shot a look towards me and smirked then walked and pushed the gates aside. I lowered my head, silently praying for the poor guy and walked past him.

"Jerk." I muttered under my breath.

Looking around, I observed the surroundings. The towns I had seen were small and poor, so this place was completely new to me. I stared at the buildings in awe and then planted my view on the castle. I couldn't help but stare.

"I've seen better back home." Vade noticed I was staring.

"I guess... You are royalty after all..." I said, still distracted by the view.

"You don't go out much I see." He said.

I finally looked at him.

"Never had a reason to until now." I walked past him into the market, browsing around the various shops.

[Vade]

"Alright guys, I'm gonna browse a little bit I need a little time to myself." I informed as I walked in another direction

"Alright, see ya later." I heard Ved call.

We finally made it back to another town. This one reminded me a lot of home, so many people and merchants, everyone just going about everyday life without a care in the world. I started to think of Lithica and of my travel to find Ved again and then of my wife and child and then of this new feeling, Deadra. I'm not exactly sure what's going on but I just want to be careful.

You're ready for this, stop kidding yourself I told myself.

I walked into a small shop that sold different inncences and charm bracelets and stuff. I found a charm bracelet with a small lightning bolt on it and just had to buy it. I picked it up and took it to the counter. "How much is this, Ma'am?"

The woman looked up, she had frizzy hair and one gray eye, probably blind, she smiled showing missing teeth and rotten others.

"That, for you deary, free." She gave a chilling cackle.

"Um...thank you ma'am but I would like to pay for it." I stated as I reached into my coin pouch.

"No sonny, I won't take anything from you, that charm was made for you, you know that as well as I do." She winked at me and started coughing harshly.

"What do you mean by that? We just met, you don't know anything about me." I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, I know EVERYTHING boy, I have been on this earth for a very long time, and by the looks of it, you have some life experience also." She began hacking and coughing again.

"I have lived a life already, yes, how do you know all this?" I was done trying to pretend with her.

"My name is Eona Millenia, I've been on this planet since the beginning, I've seen the rise and fall of many kingdoms but I grow old and cannot travel anymore, I have one more duty to perform before I leave, please, give me your hand." She reached out and opened a boney, wrinkled hand towards me. Hesitantly, I placed my hand into hers and I felt a rush of energy course through me and suddenly it stopped. When I snapped back she had a crooked smile on her face.

"What did you do to me?" I asked her.

"I awoken your divnius, you know all about that don't you?" She quizzed.

"Yes, I already had awoken it, I've used it quite a few times already." I informed her.

"No sonny, you simply tapped into the surface, you make yourself glow a little and fly faster, but now you will see, surging emotions will wake this power and you will not be the same." She had a coughing fit again.

"This was your last thing you had to do? It wasn't that important." I couldn't believe what she as talking about.

"No, that wasn't it, only part, I need you to gather your friends here so I can help you more." She leaned back and sneezed, spraying mucous everywhere. I ducked in time to just avoid it and made a face in disgust.

"Alright...I'll be back then." I turned and left just as she started coughing again.

As Vade trotted off into the distance and soon becoming hidden in the middle of the crowded area, I turned to the others.

"Seeing as lightning boy gets a moment to himself, I suggest we all take one."
"Good idea. We've been through alot we should take a moment to enjoy ourselves. We'll meet back here before dusk." Ved stated, then walked in the direction that Vade went.
"See you guys later." Eve shouted as she walked away with Xenek trailing behind her. Deadra just gave a glance and walked away, Stuzzie smacked Awols shoulder and pointed something out, then they both ran to it.

Walkig the same direction as Ved and Vade, I started pushing people out of my way. Looking at the merchandise people had out for others to look at or buy. Most of it fake gold or cheap metal made to look like it was worth something. One particular merchant caught my attention, he was sitting in an indian-style with his goods placed around on a blue carpet outlined with a mysterious yellow design. Sitting there motionless, eyes cracked open enough to see the little pupil resting within them. When I took my eyes off him and looked at his merhcandise, I quickly noticed in the corner of my eye that he opened his widely to judge me when I wasnt looking. I glanced back at him, eyes slightly open again. Turning my head to the carpet, I seen him look at me again.

I pushed my arm out and gripped his throat, quickly cutting the air supply to his lungs. I pulled him to his feet, then slightly off the ground.
"Do you have a problem with me, is that why you keep eye-balling me when im not looking?" I asked him, he was gripping my forearm with both hands trying to get away. All it made me do was tighten my grip. Pain was shown all over his face. I was about to tighten it even more until I heard somehting in the distance.
"Hazard!" It was Deadra, "Put him down. What did he ever do to you?!"
"Judged me... Doesnt even know me, and he judges me like im a nobody." I tightened my grip, people around were starting to look at me.
"Just because someone judges you doesnt mean you should torture them!" She started walking towards me.
"Your right," I threw the guy to the ground. "If it did, then you'd be dead already." I walked past her and started pushing past people. I heard her syaing 'excuse me' and 'pardon me' to people. When I wasnt around anyone I stopped and turned.

"What did you mean by that?" she asked.
"Back at your camp. I seen the looks in your eyes, you judged me as heartless killer--" she cut me off.
"And your not? Well thats all you've been showing that you are. Maybe you should act nicer if you want people to start thinking diffrently of you."
"I'll start acting diffrent when I get what I want!"
"And whats that?! World domination? The people you follow dead?!--" I cut her off this time.
"If I wanted yous dead, yous would be dead already. What I want is none of your concern! But dont worry, stick with the group, and in due time you will know." I seen she was about to say somehting, but Vades voice cut her off.

"Hey!" Ved and the others were already with him. "There yous are... Whats going on?"
"Nothing, I was just catching up with Hazard, thats all." Deadra created a cover, knowing this conversation was between us.
"Well..." Vade gave me a glance, I stuck my middle-finger at him, he just started to laugh. "Okay, theres someone i'd like yous all to meet. Come on."

Vade turned, Deadra got next to him, and the rest of us followed.

I waited for everyone to arrive and stood leaning against the wall where the weird witch lived. Everyone slowly came one by one and we all walked in. The lady was in the middle of a coughing fit so I waited until it ended until I approached her. She took a deep breath and I walked towards her.

"Stop there Vade, I have already talked with you individually, send another of your friends over first and then I will," She stopped to sneeze and then continued," talk to all of you as a group,' I turned to go and she continued," What ever is said between us, stays between us, understand?"
I nodded and came back to everyone," She wants to talk to everyone alone first and then she will talk to all of us at the end, anyone care to go first?"

Everyone looked at each other unsure of what to do and then Ved shrugged and said," I'll go first, everyone's gotta go sooner or later."

With that Ved walked up to the lady and they exchanged quick words and she took him aside to talk to him. We waited in silence, everyone wondering what she could possible say to them. I saw a strange look on Hazard's face, it looked almost.....worried, nervous? That really confused me more. Stuzzie and Eve both didn't seem to care too much. Xenek had dozed off in the first couple of minutes while Awol was deep in thought.

So, I have passed more limits with Divinus I thought to myself this should be interesting to say the least.

OOC>I wanted everyone to talk about their own experience with the lady, didn't really have a main idea for the whole thing. Since we have 4 or so inactive players, I figured we can just skip them. If you're bored enough then you can talk about one of 'em......personally I think it's time to start getting rid of 'em....Have fun with the idea guys.

She gently tugged at the air mentioning me forward into the house. I walked after her. Once inside she turned around and held her hand to her face as she took one more cough clearing her throat. "I see your the one, the brother who gave it all up to find your village and family's killer." I put my head down as I remembered my reason for first leaving. "But... you changed very quickly once you met- " cough, "Pardon me. Where was I. Ah, yes. Once you met with your first companion. You're not one to succumb to such a attitude. Though at times, you do what you must.

"Wait, what!" I became somewhat confused, "Dale is your son?"
"He is one of many. As well as the prophet you rudely ignored and left, she is also my daughter." She smiled.
"But how... they must be-"
"Very old? Not neccessarily. I have hundreds of kin. I am merely one of the first. We all live in places scattered around the realms. Close to one every other city/billage/ or town. We watch over the world and view it. Though we dare not interfere directly with it. For that is beyond us. We are merely observers."
"So can you view past, present, and future?"
"That is a good question but all I shall say is that some are prophets or oracles, whatever you must call them. Though it is rare, just like it is with everyother. We remember the past. And for the present, we... communicate with eachother in our own means."
"And you won't tell me anymore about it." I knew, and she confirmed with a slight shake of the head. "So is this it?"

"No, you just asked something besides what I meant to tell you."
"Which is..."
"That you should stay the way you are. No matter what happens. Don't give into the darkness of your past heart. For then you shall lose more then you ever knew. And that not everyone can be saved. Not even by you. Some must go."
"Is that implying something?" I don't want to hear that... Is she talking about someone with me, traveling in the group. Or is she talking about Shinji, or some random person... I don't know. Either way it doesn't feel right.

"I shall say nomore of that. Just remember that, for it may take you over. And you don't want to be sad and less functional for something that needs you."
"Everyone traveling with me can handle themselves. None of them need me."
"Do you honestly believe that?" She paused and let that sink in. "Take this. When you feel like it, open it. In it the item will help you." She coughed once more and then reached into a drawer, pulling out a small object. She passed it to me. "This was and will be for us alone. Now go. Send in another."

I grabbed the object, which seemed like a small toy chest. Doesn't seem like anything can fit in it. But regardless it I took it and then bade her farewell, "Thank you for everything, especially the talk." With that I left the house, putting the chest in the inner pocket, and returned saying to the others, "Next, go in."

"Go on!" Eve said, pushing me with a strength that almost knocked me down.

"Hey what gives?" I complained while glaring at her.

I felt a rugged hand pull on my arm while I wasn't looking and I then turned my head to face Eona's piercing eyes. For some reason, she intimidated me more than anyone else I had met before and my look humbled before her as I lowered my gaze. The curtain spread and I was practically dragged inside the room and she let go when I stood next to a chair.

"Sit." She said sternly before hacking up another storm; I reluctantly obeyed.

"What do you want?" I asked, anxious to get out of there.

She chuckled at my question. "You're quite the mystery you know."

"How so?"

"Have you ever wondered why? Out of so many people that die each and every day, have you ever wondered why were you chosen to live? Why were you brought back?" She asked, smirking.

My brows furrowed, but I said nothing and looked away from her. I was brought back to protect them... I was brought back because I was meant to protect them... All my life, that was my motivation, my eagerness to move on!

"Did you ever think it wasn't coincidence that the pheonix guardian of the forest attacked your friends? In other words, did you ever think you were destined to find them? That things happen for a reason?"

I glared at her. "You didn't have anything to do with that did you? 'Cause if you did-"

"Calm down. If I had anything to do with it, you know you wouldn't kill me or do anything but live with it for that matter. In any case, no, I can't intervene in the events I see."

"How the hell would you know? You don't know what I'm capable of and you can't tell me what to do!" I got up and turned to leave... She was there!

"Oh but I do know what you can do," she put one finger underneath my chin and lifted my face. "And you can do so many things you're not yet aware of..."

I slapped her hand away. "Just tell me whatever you need to tell me."

"You will make sacrifices and you will suffer greatly... Eventually you will die and be a martyr. That is your true purpose."

I rolled my eyes and started walking away.

"Your feelings will ultimately prove I'm right." She said.

That made me stop in my tracks and turn.

"Don't look so stupid, you know what I'm talking about."

I scoffed and stepped out. The nerve!
