FFXIII not a PS3 exclusive? Well... maybe...

Final Fantasy XIII

Motomu Toriyama of Square Enix has been quoted as saying that the FFXIII games will not be exclusive to PS3.  However, there has been some confusion over the translation of the interview.  It is uncertain at this time as to whether he is saying that the two titles confirmed for PS3 (XIII and Versus XIII) will be ported to other consoles, or that additional Fabula Nova Crystallis titles will be developed for platforms other than the PS3.

The latter seems more likely, given that XIII and Versus have been in development with the PS3 specifically in mind for some time now.  Porting the titles would undoubtably cause delays in their release.  On the other hand, Haeresis' platform has not yet been announced, and with the rumor that has been making the rounds on the web lately that the entire compilation will incorporate a total of six titles, it is logical that this plays into SE's "polymorphic content" strategy.

Agito XIII has already been long-confirmed for mobile.  It would only make sense for them to release titles on other platforms, likely DS and/or PSP.  XBox 360 is not an impossibility either, of course, especially given the semi-recent release of a FFXI port for the Microsoft system, and Wii is a good contender for an XIII title as well.  Who knows... we may even see another movie a-la Advent Children out of this compilation.
