Gaming site IGN has posted up an interview with Hidemi Matszuka, general manager of Square Enix's merchandising division.  In it, he mentions several tidbits that will certainly interest FF merchandise collectors.

1)  For those who weren't already aware, Square Enix is expanding it's online shop to sales in Europe and the U.S.  See square-enix-shop-com for more details.

2) There are plans for Fran and possibly Barret figures.

3) An official version of Clous Buster Sword from Advent Children is in the works, which, like it's CG counterpart will disassemble and reassemble into various forms.

4) More large-scale sculptures (a la the interlocking Sephiroth and Cloud statues, and the yet-to-be released Aeris sculpture) are planned.

5) They're not doing a bike that will hold the various piece of Cloud's sword, however.  :(

6) There are no plans for a Basch figure, but they are working on "a character that appeared in Final Fantasy VII, the character was playable, it wasn't human... it was an animal form. That's all I can tell you for now."  Nanaki fans rejoice?
