Dragon Quest remakes on the horizon?

Keeping to their current trend of remaking every game feasibly remakeable - except for FF7 - Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada strongly implied that the Dragon Quest series is going to be seeing the same treatment as the Final Fantasy series in the very near future.
Though individual titles were not specifically mentions, Wada said, when asked about release plans for Dragon Quest IX, "This summer, we'll release [Dragon Quest: Monster] Battle Road in arcades and [Dragon Quest] Swords for the Wii. Following that, we're thinking of a release for 9 once we've released remake versions and so forth."
